Any advise for hunting bears on Italy Hill in Yates County? I'm going to try to concentrate on some bear hunting after tagging my buck last week and have never really just bear hunted before.

Cuse, I'm going to be trying for bear for the first time too after tagging my buck...I'll be trying n the area of Italy Hill, Yates County! Good Luck to you...I've never gotten a bear yet either. I'm excited about giving it a try!

Definitely heating up...I took this 8Pt after watching him chase a 6Pt and a 3 or 4Pt, plus he was grunting a lot and rubbed a tree. They hung around for about 20 minutes until he finally presented me with about a 18 - 20 yard shot after chasing the 6 Pt for the second time.

Nice buck...Good luck with him this season! I usualy try to head up to Fort Drum once a year for snowshoe hares and grouse but have never deer hunted up there...But seems like there is a bunch of deer up there!

Chief I've done the Murph before as well...Pretty cool workout! If you like that one try the 300 workout that the actors used to get in shape for the movie...Google 300 workout and it should come up...I think you'd like it! I used it when I was training for the Tough Mudder.

Hello Rick...Welcome to the site...Great information from other NYers. I don't live near you but I try to get up in that area at least once a year to snowshoe hare hunt on Fort Drum. Lots of great looking forests up your way! Good luck this season!
