My wife got me a trail cam and my daughter got me a camo quilted flannel shirt to wear under my hunting jacket. -

Yep, I always keep it in my pants cargo pocket...won't do you any good in your pack if the unthinkable happens and you can't reach your day pack where it's hung! Be safe!

I usually try to head up to Fort Drum for some snowshoe hare and grouse hunting for a weekend once a year...Didn't make it up there last year but am planning to head up there this year. I've heard that Snowshoe Hares kind of run in a 10 year cycle as far as population numbers...for those out that way, how are their numbers looking this year?

Well, I was able to break in my new rifle yesterday morning on the last day of the regular gun season...12/08/13! I ended up taking an 11 Point Buck at 9:40 AM hounding after a doe!- 35 replies

So, if I understand this correctly; I could shoot a buck with the smokepole during muzzleloader season and use my regular season tag on the buck...I didn't know that... I thought I was stuck only looking for a doe during muzzle season because I used my bow/muzzle tag on a buck during bow season... Thanks for the info!
