Heller, in which it invalidated a firearm ban in Washington, D.C., stating that the second amendment protects an individual's right to possess a firearm for traditionally lawful purposes, such as self-defense within the home and within federal enclaves. In June 28, 2010 the Supreme Court ruled in the case of McDonald v. Chicago that this protection extends to the states as well. That pretty much throws out the NYSAFE act... Notice the "RIGHT to possess" the "Traditionaly Lawful Purpose" such as "self defense" No mention of hunting that im aware of... Take That Cumoron!!!
