    Full choke and wide open throttle is the oldest trick in the book for a flooded engine.

    The MZ primers are supposed to be weaker , the theory i believe is that a shot primer can dislodge the load before it fully combusts and cause inconsistencies in shot placement , so the weaker primer is supposed to ignite with out to much pressure . The blackhorn ignites much quicker then the other powders and pellets on the market and the hotter primer will ignite it faster .

    Is it flooded? Full choke and hold it wide open while starting it.

    If you go the blackhorn route you should use a shotgun primer instead of a MZ primer

    Not only weight but the powder , black powder has more of a push on your shoulder compared to a rifle or shotgun that hits quicker and harder.

    I keep 2 of these filled and in my coat pocket when i go hunting with the muzzleloader , there's no way pellets are any easier then just pulling out a tube and dumping it down the barrel ,these hold primers as well.

    MY CVA is a 50 and i shoot a 45 projectile . Most people do. I tried white hotts ,they are absolute garbage.

    Couple thoughts , make sure you have cell service where you plan to use it . Make some kind of official looking tag to hang on the camera , people might be less willing to mess with something if they think it belongs to a government agency doing research. For the sake of conversation , i bet if you attached a giant (non functional ) antenna that could be seen easily and labelled it something or other government research it would sit in that spot until you came back and removed it.

    I'm looking for a new round for next year , the 300g shockwave just leave a clean hole on both side . I would like something that's going to open up.

    So they had a vaccine as early as june , this thing blew out of proportion in say February , I guess that blows the theory of adequate testing out of the water.
