    Breakfast of champions (I think) coconut water, kale,starwberries,half an avocado and an apple. EDIT: some mint leaves too.

    I'm gonna as soon as the freezer repair man leaves . The guy doing the scheduling was really cool ,he is also a hunter and i told him i had to take the day off work and was i gonna hit the tree stand after he left . He said he would make sure i was first on the schedule so i could get in the woods sooner.

    Move even slower ,deer will stand still for long periods of time to scan an area. I like to still hunt with the mindset that i want the deer to walk to ME instead of the other way around . Once you locate deer you can make the proper speed/direction adjustments. The most obvious would be play the wind big time.

    Deer nuts are the same as human nuts , one is lower so they don't knock together when you run. You would have to know which one is lower on the target specimen to make an actual assessment .

    Both places i hunt allow rifles and my Browning always takes the back seat. I have every intention of taking another deer with my Henry this year.

    I'm positive they are harmless ,under certain circumstances ,you might get a little giggly and hungry but nothing that warrants a side arm.

    Will they acknowledge you if they're cleaning your windows and you guys make eye contact? Like a nod or wave?

    I can't see my pins by the time the legal time is over in the woods ,when I hunt the field edge I can see much later .

    Sure , the couple times I did see deer ,I had my headlamp on full blast ,I walk through the woods either talking out loud to my dad or make enough noise not to sneak up on any deer. It seems the deer react different when you're not sneaking around. A few weeks ago my dad and I spotted 2 doe with our headlamps on and they just walked away ,if it was daytime ,they would have bolted with tails straight up.

    Probably only weekends for me ,I may get to take a long weekend around the second week of November .

    Got any recommendations for decent snow shoes? I just want something to make the late season walk a little easier ,I have no plans to go on hikes . I have trudged through some serious snow to get to spots and wished I had snowshoes. I guess it would be handy to leave in my car all winter as well.

    I watched a spike harassing 4 doe in their bedding area Sunday morning. Unfortunately I figured out the travel route a bit late to make any moves to set up. If the wind is in my favor I'll sneak back over there and find a bush to cuddle with.
