If my only option was public land on opening day ,I would honestly stay home . I'm too nervous of what other people do in the woods.

Is it because there are more people hunting archery? Is it it because we can share more info via the web? Is it people taking bad shots in the name of bragging rights to shoot a big buck? Is it because people don't know how to track anymore? It could be a little of all of these which is why it seems like such a huge problem these days ,I don't know answer for sure but those 4 examples have to be considered.

Never used one but have been curious myself how they hold up . If the weather is really crappy on saturday,I'll post up in the over grown pine section and hope one comes close enough to get a shot.

I would no doubt tear into someone if they openly admitted to winging an arrow at a deer at 70-80 yards. I agree with the elevated number of posts about bad shots .

Triax ! It has huge cams ,I think it's only a 30 inch axle to axle . Just going by pictures I saw and a short video that I could hardly hear. Edit: It does only have a 28 inch ATA . Maybe those giant cams make it shoot like a bow with a little longer ATA?

I have one on my 3D bow and just put a 3 pin HHA adjustable on my synergy this year. I love it ,it's the best of both worlds ,20,30,40 for hunting and can be adjusted out to 80 yards for practice or just screwing around. I can't imagine using anything different .

Is that a single pin HHA ?

Is it just set for one distance ?

I just might have the mods for 28.5 ,I'll check and see what came on the bow when I bought it.

Ive come to the realisation that i should hunt a new location. I have no interest in competing with the guy behind us that has a 200+ acre deer farm essentially . This year was the lowest amount of deer in the last 12 years . I keep going back because it's convenient. Every few years we might get a mature deer wonder over but it's nothing regular. Some cameras this year only showed 3 deer after sitting for 3 weeks ,this was the first year I have never seen a rub or scrape anywhere. I guess I'll become a public land hunter next year for archery anyway,I don't trust other hunters during gun season.

Any idea of your draw length? I got my old rig for sale to the right person.

Last sit of archery for me ,I chose my dad's stands ,figure the other stands had no deer movement ,maybe they'll be here . None so far.

I should have brought a bag of light bulbs to walk on and conceal my foot steps this morning.

It's in friendship ,I'm here for the weekend .
