  1. Excellent stories, great reads, motivating and educational! Thanks for taking the time to do this.
  2. Burmjohn, awesome job. Way to be persistent in these temps! Good looking deer!
  3. NFL is at fault. Make an example, set standards, where are the Morales and values.!?!? All the sports are bad but Football may be at the top.
  4. I looked for it as well. No luck. I can't even find Northeast update. I don't get it.

    Rut!

There are still bachelor groups. We have a some time. Not a lot of scrapes, rubs are just increasing, necks aren't swollen yet.

    Rut!

    We are 2-3;weeks away...
  7. Thanks bud! Good luck. The best thing I ever did was purchase my own property. It's only 24 acres but it feels surreal at times. My Brother and I split everything from initial purchase, stone, electric, trailer and taxes. I feel lucky that we both can afford it and have a great relationship, it works flawlessly. I don't know how people can do it alone.
  8. Lol, guys I leave the stand at dark and return in the dark the next morning. I don't walk half mile back and forth with bow. I make sure there is no ice or snow in forecast.
  9. I leave my bow in the woods. If I'm hunting Fri., Sat. And Sun I'll bring my bow to the stand Friday morning and leave it in tree until I leave Sunday. I started 3 years ago and have been doing ever since.
  10. Niagara County is mostly farm land, corn, soybeans, Apple's, etc. Lived here 35 years. Bucks of this size are here.
  11. This is true, 15 miles from my house! Dressed at 211lbs...
  12. Awesome! When is too late to establish one? I won't be back down for couple weeks, too late by then?
  13. That's what I'm talking about... Cabin, how'd you get licking branch? From another scrape or is the whole set-up artificial?
  14. Awesome pics, nice to see 9P with tons of wildlife. I'm in 9P, I don't hunt State land, only my own 25 acres. Keep up the nice trail pics...
  15. Btw, if that's the case he should be very happy he waited. Maybe he would encountered that bear head to head...
  16. This is spot on and I completely agree.
  17. Never look first. If you indeed know you hit the deer, get out. Sometimes you don't know when the arrow is removed or broken. Many times the hit deer will literally run a short distance and look back. Sometimes they'll even bed. Why risk it!?!? A questionable shot should be a minimum of 4 hours. Probably more like 8. It takes a mature deer 6-10 hours to die from septecemia or blood poisoning. This is from a gut or intestine being severed. This is why I do.
  18. Passed two small fawns. Mom was no where to be seen or already left them.
  19. OMG, this is mega sensory overload, the wind and leaves are driving me insane. Tonights frost can't come soon enough. Come on doe. Passed a nice 6 this morning. Good luck all...
  20. Good morning All: Reporting 9P. Little rain, little too windy but no complaints, first time in stand. It's very thick with foliage, the Deer will be right on top of us.
  21. Exactly what I meant. It was literally 75 degrees. Intestine or gut shot in this weather wouldn't be good.
