  1. Bizzy has all kinds of angles to cover. $100-150 would be a fair down payment......
  2. I left Canadice at 6:30am today to get back home......I didn't need to shoot a doe (to give away) that bad that I wanted to monkey with driving home this afternoon in this crap. Around Rt 98 and west on Rt 20 was terrible, all the way to Union Rd. Got home around 8:30am. Local roads were bad around here but now they are just wet........
  3. Very cool Dave. I wish I had something else I was as passionate about as much as hunting for a hobby
  4. Damn that’s a smoking deal..... By chance do you have oil change records and has it ever had a coolant leak? Thanks in advance.
  5. One more quick thought.......be careful with any electric knife sharpener especially with higher end knives, you can ruin them lickety split with heat or two much aggression.
  6. I've been a big fan of the Tri-Angle Spyderco sharpener for quite a while now but have been considering adding their diamond rods to the mix. https://www.spyderco.com/catalog/details/204D/Tri-Angle-trade-Stones-Diamond/79 I have a few knives that I have a tough time getting the edge I'd like on and that may be the ticket?? I see they also have a set of Boron Nitride rods too. I don't know which of the two would be better.....might have to ask Alexa or Siri for help. https://www.spyderco.com/catalog/details/204CBN/Tri-Angle-trade-Stones-Cubic-Boron-Nitride/891
  7. As I drink beer and inhale Chex mix....
  8. No hunting for me but I have a nice doe close........ Happy Thanksgiving guys & gals!
  9. I've blocked one person ever that I can recall.........mentioned above. It doesn't help much because when people quote him the "blocked" jiberish shows up. Sadly.....
  10. He hasn’t yet and continues to upset and frustrate other members with his pointless jibberish.
  11. All thanks to 007...... Maybe it’s time the mods had a talk with him.
  12. When were those deer killed? Hopefully they're cooled out well as this week is going to be pretty warm in my area, hopefully you'll be cooler??
  13. Yesterday afternoon I was headed out for the evening sit......the south wind had me pondering where to go but I settled on one stand close to a bedding area. Before I got to my stand, I heard and then saw two deer busting out at a good clip. They were quartering away and I knew I had to get to a tree for a rest PDQ if I had a remote chance at the second of the two. The first buck passed through an opening and I quickly got a rest on the side of the tree and focused the cross hairs on the opening then let my left eye cheat over and see the second buck coming to the opening. I brought my left eye back to the scope and let 'er rip, tater chip. The entire sequence didn't take more than 5 seconds from the first I heard them till the buck was down. Although he was down, he wasn't out. I chambered another round and as he wiggled around I had to wait for an opening to get another round into the vitals, within seconds the coup de grace was on the way. The shots were from about 100 yards, maybe a touch more? My rifle is a 7mm-08 shooting 120gr Ballistic Tips, handloaded. He went 175lbs on the scale and has 9pts. I am getting him mounted and asked the taxidermist to hang onto the lower jaw as I'd like to get an age on him if possible.
  14. I’ll elaborate on the hunt tomorrow in the Harvest Thread. Dressed out at 175lbs......9pt with 18” inside spread. My ice is melting, gotta go.
  15. 12 doe and one small buck. 20 more minutes and I’m climbing down.
  16. So your shot must have been forward of the shoulder, maybe clipped the scapula? Missed the lungs and spine? I wouldn't be too hard on the chambering or bullet just yet.......
  17. 15 days, no flies on that. Heck, I'm right at that or maybe I'm at 16.
