I received another picture via email tonight from Dan. I love the view of the bobcat but I have to say I've never seen Dan WITHOUT a smile on his face, until now.......

Not related at all to your Public Land of course but some of my best spots for archery and gun are less than 100 yards from a blacktop road.......even as recently as Saturday when I passed on five small (spike, a couple 4 points and a couple 6 points) racked buck. "Small" is a relative term I know. Keep plugging away..........

Had a full day yesterday......10 hours in the climber and never came down once. I was cold and had some trouble from what I thought was a pinched nerve in my shoulder, hurt it at work on Thursday. I figured if I climbed down I wouldn't climb back up so decided I'd stick it out. Saw five 1.5 year old (my best guess) bucks and 7-8 doe. I wasn't interested in shooting a small buck........I think I was in bed at 9pm and felt whooped. Today I only sat for a little more than 3.5 hours this morning. lots of action in that short time, 4 bucks and one of which tempted me. He was dogging a herd of 8 doe like a rock star! I'm pretty sure he was also just 1.5 years old so he and the three others got a pass. I'd guess I saw 14 doe today. All in all it was a good day and a half........ PS: 3 bucks were shot by six hunter out of our group yesterday, all 8pt bucks.

Five buck and 7 doe today. 6:45am-4:45pm in thr climber, never got down. I’m sooo whipped right now from the sun, wind and cold temps. I’d like to hit the rack right now!! oh, we killed three bucks and a doe today for 6 hunters. Not too shabby....

I bought new tires AND wheels online for much cheaper than what I could have locally. I don’t recall the size off hand though.

NULA 7mm-08......confirmed zero today, one shot at 100 yards.

Had a great hunt this morning against a snowy backdrop. It didn't last too long as I had a doe come through solo......she gave me about a 16-17 yard shot and I made it count. She headed back the way she came after the shot and after about 60 yards I saw the tell tale flicker of her flag. I didn't actually see her drop but I was confident enough to only give her 30 minutes before I climbed down and took up the trail. She was where I thought......... The drag was MUCH nicer than the buck last Saturday evening; 30 yards on level ground to a seasonal driveway.

Sat last night and drew (not Andrew) a blank. We still have snow in the woods and I love to bow hunt in these conditions. This could be my last sit for archery, hopefully it is eventful.

Going to sound like they’re walking on Frosted Flakes this morning. They’re GREAT!!!!!!!
