I have three personal friends (and a couple on here) that are battling cancer. Late today I got some very good news.......one of the three who has prostate prostrate cancer that has spread to his abdomen went for a CT scan last week and saw the doctor today. The tumor has shrunk after hormone treatment for the last few months and his PSA was under "1". Far, far from being out of the woods I know but it's good news regardless. I'll get some more information tomorrow on the situation but for now it's a glimmer of hope. Bottoms up if you imbibe......

I've heard from some friends that other doctors use different preparation that seem to be less gut wrenching. I don't know, they probably suck just as bad!

Yea, I'm BACK!! It was a rough go for a bit. I selpt real good from 12-3am last night, had to get up at 3 and then slept till 5am. Things were really moving from 5-6:30 or so.......Had to be there at 7:45am and was on the table at 8:30am, all plugged in and ready to roll. The last thing I heard was a Badfinger (ironic?) song "No Matter What". Seems as though I was somewhat awake through the process, I never have been before with my multiple upper & lower procedures, strange?? They got me out of there and home by around 10:30 or 11:00......ate my sandwiches at home (I think?) then hit the rack for a few hours. Woke up around 2:30 and felt like dog sheat......bad headache and funny feeling in my gut. Stayed awake for an hour or so before I hit the rack again, slept until 7pm and now feel human again. If I remember correctly, the doctor came into the recovery room and said all looked good and he was looking forward to seeing me again in 5 years.

My doctor is “old school” and doesn’t like the new prep. He’s a jerk........ So nothing but a single black coffee this morning, some chicken broth and a bowl of jello today. Oh and a water bottle. At 3pm I drank the 10oz magnesium citrate poison and at 6pm the 64oz of Gatorade mixed with mirilax gets funneled down the hatch. I’ll video a little tonight for you puzzies that don’t want to do it. Right now I’m badly cramping; it feels like a small dog is dancing on my gut. Awesome start to the night.....

Damn you anyway.......it’s tomorrow.

Batter UP!! Yea, my turn again. I don't recall if it's three or five years ago but its time.......I also don't recall if this is just my second or is it the (turd) third? So any last minute tips (NOT that kind of "tip") you guys or gals can share? My important tip is HIGH quality TP. NOT the time to skimp! I'll pack a couple egg salad sammies, graced with green olives for the short ride home, then probably sleep for a few hours. I won't get any sleep the night before and surely will be starved, guaranteed.
