I've had one no-fire situation in the last 10 hunting seasons with my smokeless ML'r........IIRC it was the first or second year I got it and it resulted in a gimme that got by me. TWICE in 60 seconds!

I had a doe and two fawns inside of a hundred yards for an hour before they spooked....disappointing end to the ML season. I only got out Sunday morning then today. The woods looked like a barnyard with all the ground tore up. Damn...

When I was younger, it didn't bother me to leave the house at 2am to drive to Pennsylvania for spring gobbler and hunt till 11am. It made for a brutal ride home. Especially the second day in a row........... Good for you & good luck!

Lower jaw is the one to be looking at AND save. Clean it up/boil it and then stop at the DEC and see what they say. Congrats on a real trophy IMO.......

I have a Canon G12 and thought the world of it until I figured out that the lens cover was scratching the lens (bizarre huh?) when actuating in & out. Since Playboy isn't doing magazines anymore I don't really have a need for it so won't be replacing it anytime soon, I'm just not getting the gigs I used to.........

Wore these space boots today and I'll add a couple things: First, if you drive a Toyota Tacoma or similar smaller vehicle and there isn't much room between the pedals, don't wear these clod hoppers while driving. Trust me...... Second, they were very warm this morning although I only sat from about 7:15 till 10:30 and it was 18* when I got to my spot. My footing was pretty good too. More comfortable than I expected. Pretty good value IMO.

I hunted East Aurora this morning, 18* and light east wind. Around 10am I mooched down into a spot take a peak, spotted a doe about 70 yards. I had a great rest but I couldn't find a good hole to slip a bullet through. As I'm watching her, something told me to turn around. Not 40 yards a way is a dandy6pt. He was tall and looked to be probably 2.5 years old or so, he'll be a dandy next year! Oh, 2' plus of nice powdery snow.
