  1. I was considering getting a part time job since I had so much spare time on my hands the last 22 HOURS...........
  2. Husqvarna Vapenfabriks Aktiebolag 1941 6.5x55 Swedish Mauser sporterized by a friend of my uncle probably 20 years ago. I don't think my uncle ever shot it but he may have.....It had a Leupold 3x9 on it but if I recall correctly the safety wouldn't clear?? I pulled the scope but still have the rings/base and they'd come with it. Oh and it is a Ramline stock and includes the sling. $325 plus actual shipping if you're interested. Face to face and we split FFL fee.......
  3. Yes, good luck with mom TF! Get her squared away and back home...........
  4. Is this a "fun" shoot or competition? I could be interested if it was just for shiiiits & giggles but not competition. You see, I can crack under pressure do to some serious sexual intimidation years ago by a good (not THAT good) friend. I'd be all set to take a shot with my traditional gear; concentrating on THAT spot that I wanted to hit. Then I'd bring the bow up and all in one motion draw & shoot............well, midway through my draw, my buddy would take the tip of his bow from behind me and "tweak" me in my nether region, resulting in a lost arrow, possibly still traveling in the stratosphere even after all these years. All these years later all I can think of when shooting at a 3D shoot is Old Tom, getting ready to give me the overlaid tip of his bow right in my bing bong.........these days I'll shoot for fun, nothing else.
  5. I don't know why but what first came to mind was Leroy.......
  6. Marine anchor line would be OK too. Heck you could probably leave it right on the ground laying there and it would last for years and not be a trip hazard for critters and such. YMMV.....
  7. Almost 30 years ago my buddy Dave killed a nice hard horned 8pt doe at the south end of Honeoye Lake. She/he was a beauty............. IIRC the DEC in Avon was called and did a story for the Conservationist Magazine. I have a lousy picture somewhere......
  8. I'll repeat what others have said, WOW! What are the specs on that sweetie?
  9. We had pork tenderloin, mashed potatoes, apple sauce & brussel sprouts.
  10. You drive a heck of a bargooooon Mr Bizzy. Now go pound salt............
  11. Shot another doe yesterday, she was even bigger than last weeks doe. This one dressed at 138lbs. About a 120 yards shot with the .243 Winchester. Good way to close out the 2017 Rifle season for me; two nice doe and a respectable 9pt buck.
  12. The Fat Lady is singing............ Whether you can see this or not growie, Happy Holidays to you & yours. (I believe she has put me on the "Blocked List") And all the best to the rest of the membership.
  13. I’m not too motivated today but I’m still going out. Light snow and 24 I think.......WSW winds @ 6 mph.
  14. Shot another doe this morning. She’s another nice adult; dressed out at 138lbs, my second heaviest ever. ill post pics and full unabridged story when I get better cell service.
  15. Here in the Amherst area we have just an inch or so but it sounds like the southern tier of Buffalo is getting hit pretty good. I think on the 5pm news they said Marilla had 16".........the 10pm news is coming on in a few minutes so I may update this as deemed necessary. Along with those that do, who doesn't have any?
  16. You guys are a couple jerk offs.........quit messing with my sale unless you "gots da clams". She's still available for those interested. New price......$395 or will trade for cash.
  17. Could be in this case but I doubt it as the proximity (boat launch) to a water way would be not the best judgement of the local officials.
  18. I'll just assume it's NOT loaded (lots of ML are left loaded by mistake and they will turn to junk after only a few years like that!!) and that you'll be checking that it isn't by inspecting things as well as you can. BTW, a flashlight shined in the touch hole (I love that term) will surely show in the muzzle of the barrel while looking down it. After determining she's clear, pop a couple caps prior to the initial loading, then hang on with all ya got as your off to the races. Love ML'rs of all flavors.................. I've killed a few late season bucks and plenty of doe with ML guns and I look forward to all the reports coming in from all that are somewhat new to it.
  19. You, me and Pygmy can enjoy it Dom. Here's one more.......
  20. Would it be OK if I spiced up the batch with some high end Pennsylvania tags? I can send a buck tag and doe tag..........
  21. And it really is a great old classic song.
