    Frost

That'd be pretty late (mid October) for your neck of the woods wouldn't it?

    Frost

I was in Arcade this morning and my buddy had 39 degrees and a touch of "crispness" on a blue tarp out by the pines..........maybe not "frost" but damned close to it.
  3. Nope, not even close. Nothing to see as far as I see.

    Backtag

It's a "hunting license". It has nothing to do with shooting...........
  5. That's quite a trail you have, heck to get that buck coming through three times in 5 days is amazing.
  6. How cool, everybody here is under 200 or can be. I didn't know they were adjustable........
  7. Don't quit you contracting job JR. You'll starve...............
  8. Shoot what YOU want, not what the TV shows, magazines and aholes on the web ram down your throat. If either of those bucks give you THE shot you are looking for, cork 'em.
  9. Yup, I flipped the furnace on. Bummer but the kids almost suffocated under the blankets and my wife woke up in a parka. Lightweights.................I thought it was nice. So I turned it onto 68, it was 63 in here. A couple minutes and everybody is happy, including National Fuel Gas.
  10. Cool pics. I guess he could be blind..........
  11. I know you're concern with time is a factor so hopefully you find them easy but............... I bought marine line at a boat store more than a few years ago and made my own. Easy as pie.......33' is IIRC what you want. A couple wraps up high and enough to tie around the base of the tree once at about mid chest in hight. The prussic is easy to, I got that line at EMS IIRC. Note: the 33' length works out great for a 100' chunk of line.
  12. HECK YA! I'm meeting up with Pygmy later today in Penn Yan for some fishing tomorrow. I guess that counts too??
  13. It's nice to see all the enthusiasm here. I still get very exited as the season draws near but don't spend the time or effort that some of you do, good for you! My main archery hunting area is 75 miles from home and between work, family and laziness I don't make it down enough. Last Sunday I did some prep work so I should be fine for my first hunt, whenever it is.
  14. Oh you're going WAY back for that......................................NOT How about party lines? Bet you never heard of THEM! How about pay phones at $.10 per call? When I would hunt out west in the late 80's, early 90's we would get calling cards, used with a pin number you could get pre paid minutes and then you didn't have to call collect. Ever hear of a "collect call"? Times sure have changed with phones......
  15. Did everybody get a new crop of smiley faces or is my feed chicken chow mein? WTH are these things? (the site wouldn't let me post all that I wanted) I see the old ones but they are way down the line............................... No problem, all is good.
  16. Sounds like 3k to me.......... Check with GMan on here, he had one done last year.
  17. LOL, I don't know what kind of monitor you guys use but I can barely tell its a bear!! Maybe I need an upgrade to my lap top or my glasses............................. BTW, I've never seen a bear in NYS but have seen lots in PA while deer and spring turkey hunting over the past 30+ years.
  18. The first couple years will be a PIA but they'll learn. Good luck to you and your family this fall.
  19. And padding their Roth IRA.
  20. Pics for those of us with no imagination, please.
