Back in 1989 (IIRC) I needed my hunter ed card to get a Colorado elk license and NYS didn't have the records from the mid 70's to look it up. I lost is sometime back in the late 70's in a swimming incident.... I got a new card from a helpful instructor.

Mornings and evenings for me. Most sits are only 2.5 to 3 hours, I get bored and have other obligations with the landowner that need attention. I certainly have sat all day for archery but only in acts of desperation........and they have panned out too.

Milk sprayed on keyboard.....................................LOL. Dan on Dan...priceless. Nothing like a couple guys with a sense of hummer I mean humor.

A question from another post. After the kill

I've never gutted a bear and probably never will but I'm sure it is like ALL four legged animals........parts are parts. All in the same place................ If you're going to rug the bear, I wouldn't drag him too far, thats what friends and four wheelers are for. BUT......if you have neither of those, I'd brush up on skinning a bear and do it in the field. Pack out the meat first then the hide. Luck to you............... -
Next time I smoke a deuce on State Land I'll leave my business card tucked in also...........................................

Good heavens this almost got by me.......................WE NEED PICS!!!

Great news!

Man Red that is a crappy deal. Gimme a break, a trail camera on state land warrants a ticket? Lame..................................He COULD have left a warning on the camera and I'm sure that would have gotten your attention. Prick.....................

Sounds like cool plan. Stack 'em like cord wood.......

I might have one.......I have an early Scoutguard that I think has gone tits up. Not positive yet and won't know until this weekend. It is located in Canadice now and I hail from Amherst so shipping is fine. I'll let you know........

A couple things........If it were me (and it ain't) I'd be at that Dr's office at 9am this morning with a loose fitting shirt PLEADING to get that pacemaker installed pronto. Then I'd be a real good boy and behave as directed.......6 weeks from now is October 29th, JUST in time for the rut to start to crank up. Lots of years I didn't even start hunting until that week due to work and other factors. You'll be missing NOTHING then hitting the peak of the hunt. Who's your Dr, Dr Cobler? I've worked for her a number of times, very nice lady. Keep the positive attitude and you'll be fine...........

Not my dog but it was my bird. A friend took the picture a few years ago IIRC........................(check out those eyes!)

+1 I could just see myself; loading up each barrel with Vaseline then I get a runny nose while gutting the deer. Dragging my arm across my nose to alleviate the annoyance. I then stop at the 7/11 for a pack of Marlboro reds (except I don't smoke cigs) and the clerk is looking at me fishy with all this Vaseline up & down my arm and a funky odor following me from the guts............................uggh.

I wouldn't have phrased it THAT way. I don't think that is a 140" buck either from those pics. I know the OP said he figured he was a 9pt, it looks like an 8pt frame that I can see. Takes a heck of a 8pt to go 140".................. Here's to hoping the OP gets him!

Once again, I'm taking the high road and keeping my mouth shut..................................................

+1 on the good job Grow. Each year I try and donate a couple to my buddy's family. Some years it doesn't work out for one reason or another, others things fall into place nicely......like last year! My buddy said that if by chance I could get two, take them. He had a few DMAP tags so I did, three came by and two were reduced to bag. It darn near broke my heart to let them go (give them away) as they were two nice 1.5 year old doe. Good shots and easy to get out.........................oh well, they were tickled to get them!

That'd make a nice position for a mount.

. The stink on your hands is pretty brutal too but gloves help with that.

WTH is Vaseline going to do for you? I think you mean Vicks Vaporub (sp).

Dip your shafts white and use white fletch when the ground is bare, orange dip and orange fletch if you have snow.
