"wooly bears"? are they the black and yellow fuzzy guys?
-
Our Park, their rules. Makes sense to me...........NOT.
-
I just thought about the big spiders that live in my tomato plants, just waiting for me to retrieve a ripe Early Girl........................double uggh.
-
You can keep all the spiders and snakes for all I care..........uggh. We get some real beauties this time of year building webs outside the house. I'll tolerate them for awhile but don't enjoy their presence. Rarely see snakes here.

Time for a new friend.

I have a .223 that I bought second hand for my son a number of years ago. It has without a doubt one of the best triggers I've ever yanked. It shoots great and has a smooth action albeit long! They are a great value IMO.

Step up to the table, a smörgåsbord of choices ........................... http://www.cabelas.com/catalog/browse/carbon/_/N-1100022/Ns-CATEGORY_SEQ_103856580?WTz_l=PPC%3Bcat104192280 If they don't have them at the store order them in.

I think if they are anything like the cables on Screaming Eagle stands it's a piece of cake. I have some that were replaced 25 years ago and still going strong. My friend Tom built a pile of stands back in the 80's and swedged his on crimps without the proper tool and the are still in use each year. He hangs 12-15 stands in the fall and they all get stored in the barn for the rest of the year. If you could come up with the crimping tool to do it and grab some of the lead slugs (or whatever they are) you'd be in Fat City. I know a guy (and you know his brother) who just uses the bolt on cable crimps on all kind of stands.

It must be the lingering odor from the 2013 opening day sardine sandwich that lured it in......................... -
Thanks folks......... We spent an hour and a half with the FIL. Seems to be in good hands at MMH. We'll go back tomorrow and see how he is doing with his IV and new meds. I was talking to a friends daughter in law on the way home and she mentioned to keep an eye out as these type of things can go bad real fast with someone so old. She also mentioned MERSA as being something to watch for. Hmm that ain't good stuff...............

Thanks Dins.......when you coming in?

He's been admitted. I didn't talk to him but my wife did, he said it is related to the infection. They started an IV and will be in at least overnight. My son and I will head up tonight to see him.

My 85 (86 in Sept.) FIL just called. He is on the way to Medina Memorial Hospital in bad shape. He fell off his bike a couple time about a month ago and brush burned his arm real bad and it got infected. He finally went to a Dr. about ten days ago and he gave him some meds. The sore was starting to heal up good as of last Sunday so I don't know if this is related?? He feels awful, his sugar level is high at 140. He has diabetes and has never been on medication for it, just controlling it by diet and exercise. For the last 24 years or so he has rode a bike 6 miles a day, year round. He spends winters in Florida.... We only talked for a couple minutes while a neighbor was driving him in. I got the neighbors cell number and asked them to keep me posted and that I can be there in 45 minutes after they figure things out. This is the guy (FIL) that has never spent an hour in a hospital in his life for himself and until a few years ago hadn't seen a Dr. for 40+ years. My wife has to work at noon today and it's a double shift so I'm up to bat; no sweat. Another curve ball over the plate.................................

I've never been to that shop, have you? I get it confused with A&K Gun Shop in Corfu too.............that one I've been to. I like it although all I've bought there are some items, no big ticket scores. YET

I sure don't feel like I'm in my prime................. Tim started one of these at the crack of dawn.........or close to it! http://huntingny.com/forums/topic/23692-happy-b-day-lawdwaz/

Oh thats good. What and where have you hunted with a guide?

Cool picture. I remember a story Craig Boddington did quite a few years ago about, IIRC North Carolina bear hunting. Apparently they had a ton of HUGE bears and the pics from the story reminded me of this one above. Newfane? Hmmm skeptical here.......
