  1. A friend has had Tarjac do a few gun stocks and he was very happy with them.
  2. So Tony, where do you suggest we invest our money to get a better ROI than the market?
  3. I'd hope a few buses from the Buffalo area could be fueled up and headed east for it also. I'd go if it happens.....
  4. Kevin did my buck from two years ago. I've also known him for a long time. I'd see him in the bush off Campbell Blvd 25 years while we were both shed hunting. Let us know.
  5. Did you rough score it yourself, if so how she come out? Who will do the official scoring and when?
  6. Great looking buck. Did you end up doing anything special with the head?
  7. Skin n tan would be a good way to go. If you shoot/trap enough selling would be an even better way to go! The two I killed in NYS I had a friend skin and have tanned for me. They came out great and now proudly hang in my family room. I only killed one other and that was years ago in Colorado on a bow hunt. We lost the hide on that one in the heat. Bummer..........
  8. Very cool! (as always) I have a cool story to tell you but I need to snap a couple quick pics first. Hang in there........... (could be an hour or it could be a day.........!!)
  9. Have you ever posted any iphone video on here? I'd be interested to see it. What bow mount do you use?
  10. It'd be a bummer if some goof ball new friend of yours called just when you were getting ready to drop the hammer on Mr. Big. <grin>
  11. Those Go Pro rigs are pretty neat. I'd check on the durability of those also. Maybe a test shot or two? I wonder how good their warranty is????
  12. This might help....... http://compass.ups.com/asktheexpertforum.aspx?srch_pos=1&srch_phr=ammo You can work your way around the site and get a price. I'd guess less than $15 to ship it, in state.
  13. I don't know about that one Joe............... Your camera could turn into chicken chow mien. (JUNK!!) Use a friends camera. <grin>
  14. He's 15 years old and has the skill to do it. He will take the difference in money and shoot, reload and then shoot some more. I bet bet that the boy shoots more this year than most folks on this site! Blam, blam, blam.......................!!
  15. Hi Joe...Is it going to be for shooting or cleaning? If you are shooting off it you need to watch where your sling stud comes in contact with the front "hanger hook". On recoil it could mess with your impact on target?? Also, if shooting off it make sure you round off all sharp edges or you'll get a gash or two! Nice project! We'll need pics of the completed deal............

    Hello

Although I could Google it, where is Oyster Bay?
  17. Lucky dog....... I can't say I've seen it all but I have absolutely seen deer hit like this and skate. I don't have the answer and many say that that "no man's" land doesn't exist but I'll stick to my beliefs on it that it many of them do survive.
  18. I'd be what you might call CLUELESS when it comes to rails. Good quality bases and rings would be what I would be looking at. Best of luck...........
  19. I am a Leupold flag waver but know lots of good optics are available these days. Durability and eye relief are what matters most, IMO. If the eye relief isn't perfect I have no interest. Almost all scopes these days have great glass and coatings. Skip the fancy reticles, opt for a standard duplex type intersection and pound away. Pretty tough to beat Talley mounts for the money. Make sure you have enough clearance after the glass is mounted to get some Butler Creek lens covers on but not TOO much.
