Can anyone suggest an area to start looking?

Has anyone hunt pigs in PA?
  3. 870 12 Gauge 3" mag all day long
  4. Snowshoes are a must, prob 14-18" still on the ground. Not likely to see any pheasant.
  5. Does anyone have a "Target" grip for a reasonable price? Factory and replacements are nice but outrageous.
  6. If anyone likes venison with a little Asian twist, take some stew or chunk meat, saute with garlic and a hint of red chili flakes. Add a dash of Soy Sauce and cook to your liking. Take a couple tables spoons of peanut butter or tahini, thin the peanut butter with a little warm water or veg oil. Add sauce last minute of cooking to coat. Serve over rice or Asian noodles.
  7. Wasn't necessary or appreciated. To much of that type of BS here.
  8. I went out this weekend to a release site in region 4, nothing but a lot of old foot prints and dog tracks. Nothing in the way of bunny tracks either.
  9. I am doing some homework getting ready to reload. I haven't run a single load through a press yet. Can anyone simply explain the difference in hardness between traditional "Cast" lead and Swaged? I'm also looking for a BHN number for Hornady 158 gr .358 SWC. Thanks in advance.
  10. Well the season isn't the same across the state so I wouldn't be surprised. I am surprised that they go through the effort so early, even before the season opens. Release a number for the youth season sure. I wonder how many are taken out from predation even before the season starts?
  11. FYI, I spoke to the DEC Reg 4 office. In general Pheasants are released once a week on the Published Lands beginning in late September through early November.
  12. LMAO! Thanks everyone! growalot... To funny! Everyone have a blessed 2015.
  13. I like shooting squirrels with a 22, but only on the ground. Shotgun is a safer gun, plus it's more versatile.
  14. Both are state lands fully open to hunting. Check out the DEC mapper. Both are well marked as far as signage goes. Also they are very Ise to each other.
  15. Assuming you know what I was asking, whats up with the dick response?
  16. Auto correct! I hate it!..... Does anyone know what or when pheasant release dates are?
  17. Does anybody know what it when Pheasant release are it were? Thanks

    Deer Tracks

i generally look couple of things. When the leading part of the track is rounded and spread apart slightly, it typically means an older dear. I look to see if the track is wider than my palm, about 5 inches typically means an older dear. I've heard that buck tracks are just behind each other. EX. left front will be just in front of left rear but not touching. That's all i got..........
  19. Thanks everybody! Thanks for all the positive input.
  20. It's only my opinion or "Understanding" that bucks don't shed until late winter, not mid December which is the beginning of winter. Not to say that there isn't the odd occasion this could happen. I'm ok with the season as it is. Not fond of hunting the warmer days of early October (I still do) but that is only my preference. I would support something like pushing the muzzleloader season off until after the new year.
