I’ll have to devise a plan that doesn’t include my 12ga 3 1/2 turkey load, he will break his shoulder.
-
He already took the gun course, can I get his license on line do you know?

With both of my sons baseball teams at a stand still this will be the first may in like 3 yrs that I will have more than a couple days to hunt the entire month. On another note, I had been all stressed out about missing the boat for my son to youth hunt this yr then after days of feeling like I completely failed at being prepared I realize (dumb ass) he doesn’t turn 12 until May 21st.

When ever I see a thread title like this it's never what I'm hoping for.

I think if your jumping out of the market your basically betting against america which is not a good bet. If you jumped out during this and your now sitting on the sidelines you were not properly invested prior to this and you probably are not a disciplined investor. Most people who jump out miss a lot of the rebound when it does come back.

Well I got the correct auger delivered yesterday, trailered it up after lunch today, drove her thru the trails and up the hill to the site with no issues (the trails are pretty wet). I got the first hole 3/4 dug and heard a snap. Some pin or bold in the housing above the auger must have busted. So damn ticked off. I was hoping to get them done this weekend and start with setting the posts next weekend.

Best work class Side by Side
Zag replied to LET EM GROW's topic in ATV's , UTV's, Dirtbikes & Snowmobiles
I think the side x side is a better opt than the wheeler for my needs. Ive had days when I'm working on a food plot and im climbing on and off the wheeler 100 times and it gets old, plus if my dad and I head out we each take a wheeler where we could take one machine and we could have conversations while driving. We have always owned either Honda or Yamaha, last 4 or 5 have been Yamaha and have had 0 issues. I'm sure either one will be great! -
The prediction was a joke just like most lamestream media news reports these days. Everything now is just way over reaction and I don't believe shit any more, from any outlet. I just want to hide in the woods forever.
-
Damn, ok good to know.. I wouldn't have guessed as this thing looks invincible, will be digging in the woods and sure to run across some pesky roots.
-
The strap was Jerry rigged to keep the auger off the ground ( as it's to big). Yeah the manual can't state enough how careful you need to be around it.
-
Well I was set to dig holes this weekend but now might be on hold, I was having a hard time lifting the auger while attached to the tractor while getting it ready to go. Called the dealer sent the service guy some pics and called me back to inform me they sold me the wrong one, it's one size to big. Bummer, now waiting to see when I can get the right one.

Ok I think I can picture what it would look like. So if there were seeds inside there would be no way to try to germinate into a seedling? Thanks for your input!!

Non viable, tell me more.

I haven't seen a chestnut since maybe an early teenager. I was super excited to stumble upon this on state land today. I forgot how sharp the shell is. There was quite a few on the ground!
-
Didn't have alot of time today but I got these logs cut and moved to the site, I'll shave to bark down at some point. These will run from the loft the the deck for support!
-
This arrived yesterday!! This sob will dig to China if your not careful. Was shooting to dig holes this weekend but a couple things came up, so maybe next weekend!
-
I'm not a big socil media guy, you guys are my only internet friends but I did venture to Twitter. Check out bob lonsberry, good stuff I think.

Ahh the wallpaper jokes biz, hahaha

My goal is to make this sob blind/cabin 1000% mice proof.

Yep, not all pensions are guaranteed to stay the same, thanks for sharing farmer. I also know a teamsters retiree who's monthly about was reduced quite a bit. Do not make choices without speaking to a reputable advisor.
-
Agree with Phade, every pension plan is different and every participants different, single married, if nys pension there is the pop up option. Really would need to know alot more info other wise know one can rightly give you good advice. Take fellow workers opinions with a grain of salt, everyone's has different feeling when it comes to money. My suggestion would be to meet with a Financial Advisor and run your situation past him.

It turned out to be a great day to be in the woods!! I picked out the exact location of the cabin and measured out the 6x6 post locations. I didn't want it located right on the edge of the plot, so I tucked it back a bit and I'll build up some more dead branches in front to hide it. Buying a new auger for the JD tractor Monday so maybe as early as next weekend I can get the holes dug and get the 6x6 posts set!!

Any thoughts on heat? I've been back and forth on a cubic mini wood stove or a wall mounted propane heater. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Dyna-Glo-10000-BTU-Wall-Or-Floor-Mount-Natural-Gas-Or-Liquid-Propane-Vent-free-Convection-Heater/1000282055

Ha, window was a little larger but the price was so darn good I couldn't let it go. Worse case I can tint them a bit, but behind me will mostly be a wall so I think I'll be ok.
