my wife signed up for abc mouse (they have a corona discount sale lol) and she just asked me what's wrong with the internet. We have google wifi so i checked it from my app and it's at well over 100mbs. So my guess is that they're getting hammered. The trickle down and unforeseen is going to be incredible.

How would you feel if you learned a neighbor shot a deer or 2 out of season to feed his family during a hardship? Would you ever do the same? How would you feel if it was a 3.5 year old buck who had dropped his antlers? How would you feel if the doe hadn't dropped her fawns yet?

we have vpn, but we're learning the pipe isn't big enough to assist everyone at one time. Sort of like the hospital system, it's designed to handle the normal volume.

I think there's truth to both. The virus isn't as bad as they think, I agree. But it's bad. It's worse than the flu and people will die. Because of this, people are reacting and because it's so impactful they're obviously covering it. Which heightens the scariness. For this i don't blame the media. What I do blame the media for is the graphics and spin. I was watching cnn and it was like a f'n Michael Bay movie trailer with their graphics and deep scary voices. Totally unnecessary. And then Andy's brother and Don Lemon come on like they're announcing an asteroid is about to hit earth and are so blinded by their hatred, all they can report on is about what trump said and how bad he is for this. That doesn't help anyone. The only one I can stand is Anderson because he at least sticks to the facts. Then I go Fox news and I feel like it's almost worse hearing them just blame the dems for how they're reacting and barely covering the story that matters. So in summary, they're to blame in parts, but not fully.

I don't believe we have any reason to believe our supply chain with regards to food will be an issue. The trucks are still running (there hasn't been a major disaster shutting down the roads), and there's nothing stopping the farmers from farming or the livestock industry from continuing to do their thing. I work in ops, and we dont suspect the impact from China's supply chain to show for another 6 to 8 months, but honestly that's the biggest concern. The items that are needed to make some of our food, or clean the plants or package the food where they're made etc come from China. Food shouldn't be a concern. medications and things though... that's the scarier part. Thankfully china appears to be back on board and say what you want about china, those commy bastards will get that shit running again 2X haha.

fair points here. I was an early adapter on social media. Not panicking, but trying to stop the spread of "this is no big deal". I wish I was wrong, but there were a handful of people I had long back and forth facebook "discussions" with. One in particular where it was me vs like 20, including the nurse who started it. I popped back in on Friday to ask how they were all doing and didn't get any replies. The troll in me got the best of me.

the respiratory part of this virus is misunderstood. Should someone cough or sneeze on you, yes. But otherwise once those droplets land, there is no method to "breath it in". Most people are better suited to wear gloves then respirators. However, if the respirator does prevent you from sticking your dirty hands in your mouth, then yes i guess it helps. Basics here are, don't touch a surface that is contaminated and then touch your eye, nose or mouth and you'll be ok. Yes I know that's easier said then done.

no it's FM. A pretty big, if not the biggest in the Roc area. I don't listen to radio in the truck anymore, but I do while getting ready in the morning.

damn. I still wan't to know what she said though... I like Newman, and mental health is a real thing. His courage to talk about it is helpful to others, but I also still feel like he needs to be a little tougher to the bullying.
