  1. keeps my retired dad busy and he needs the time away from my mom haha. After every wind storm he goes out and checks his stands and clears the runs haha.
  2. Think of it another way. Those people with corona needed someone. She was there to help. She's doing God's work.
  3. they are also saying dont go to the hospital unless you really f'n need it. Which is a message hospitals and ERs have been trying to promote for decades anyhow.
  4. that is exactly the case. Prepare for the worst, be happy you were overprepared. The motto every one of us with a CC lives by. Cuomo even shipped some donated ventilators back. This is good news, not a reason to fire political bullets. The hardest decision has yet to come. When can we turn this back on? Wing it? 100% testing? A cure? A vaccine?
  5. My beds are only a few years old and I've just been adding miracle grow garden soil every year. Mostly to raise the height of the soil in my beds and allow better access to sun. I want to start composting too, but haven't gotten around to it yet. I also have a pH probe but haven't used it. At other houses I've grown some of my best veggies in beds that had dinosaur dirt in them. This is horrible advice, but I'd only be too worried if I wasn't getting the growth and yield I expected, and knew variables like sun and water were not the issue.
  6. Thought about maybe getting the leafy stuff in, but lows in lower 30’s this week so they’ll have to wait longer. Ready to go though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Easter turkey in the smoker! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. haven't read all the pages. have we discussed whose arms are on fire yet?
  9. really want to try one of those, but just can't swallow the cost. will be waiting for some cool videos from TF!
  10. Biden already stated he wants a POC and preferably a woman. You know the dems couldn't live with their hipocracy if they put 2 white men on the ticket.
  11. glad to see 90% of you have your head on straight. stay safe everyone
  12. we are doing a version of this, but we're open anyhow as an essential business.
  13. My role at my employer is to try and keep 10k of our essential workers safe and protected from this around the world. This has been a serious stresser, not to mention my wife is losing her mind with 3 kids at home all day and me working in the basement. When I'm able to show my head I go for a run and try and exercise. Then i'm just fried and have started drinking at least 2 glasses of wine a night to help take the edge off. This is hard, and at least we got some nice weather the last few days but now that's all gone and it snowed in webster this morning... stay strong everyone.
  14. he deserves shit. Biz is a good dude, but I've lost some respect for him with some of his comments in this thread. I'm sure he doesn't care, but I'm also sure I'm not alone.
  15. tell that to the families of thousands who have died in your city alone and the forum members who have family members battling it.
  16. it's really sad that these 2 incoherent old men is what we get to choose from lol.
  17. serious question. Is landscaping essential and allowed? I don't see how you'd have any issue with regards to spreading anything, but that doesn't mean the state agrees.
  18. x2, if i was closer i'd bring my edger over!
  19. my lettuce and spinach took off quite nicely in the starter trays and will go in the ground next week. Peppers are taking their sweet time as usual. Started corn, eggplant, beans, winter squash and cucumbers in their trays last night! Will probably add a tomato plant this year, eventhough i'm not a fan, the wife likes them.
  20. disagree, if you're a Trump guy you should know he has much better odds against Bernie than Joe. Doesn't mean he's going to lose now, but this is a tougher fight for sure. The election will hinge on where we're at in November with regards to Covid and nothing else. Those that hate how he's handling it, weren't voting for him anyhow. But if we're in the shitter, those fence sitters and swing votes will go the other way regardless of whose fault it is.
  21. just to add to this, it's still entirely possible you have had it and just didn't display any symptoms. This is, without a doubt the hardest part of this virus. People carrying and spreading unknowingly.
  22. First mow yesterday. Was higher already than I thought, but I fertilizer early along with a crab grass preventer which usually gets me greener and growing faster than the neighbors. Have some grass patching to do near the road. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. perfectly summarizes how I feel too. Thanks Rob. I second this.
