  4. yep i did that sunday. we're aligned brother
  5. that's fair. I would assume though if it was the apocalypse you wouldn't be shooting for fun though right? giving away your position and all haha
  6. i still eat those we catch out in the lake though. so if they're not going to make it, eat em. especially now haha.
  7. shit that pisses me off
  8. bhahaha. she's not wrong. wives are never wrong of course
  9. right, wrong or whatever I generally have about 40 rounds for each caliber. So basically a few boxes each. I understand the idea to be prepared. But if shit really hits the fan, do you really think you'll ever really shoot hundreds of rounds at other humans or wild game without the chance to also acquire the ammo of those you shot? I think the only argument to really stockpile ammo is if you're going to run a cult and or feel you'll need to be training new shooters. just my .02. Certaintly it is better to have and not need.
  10. there are some interesting studdies on the survival rate of a trout when not handled properly (photos and how they're handled) where the mortality is kinda high. Not disagreeing with you, but something to consider. https://www.luckytacklebox.com/blogs/fishing-tips/8-tips-to-properly-handle-trout
  11. what you throwing at them?
  12. I did my step 1 fert and crabgrass preventer a few weeks ago. Lawn is pretty green but looking a little shaggy. My back yard is always very moist this time a year but the front might get a cut in the next few weeks.
  13. most surfaces, the virus dies within hours. worst case, in perfect conditions on a very flat surface, mostly metals and plastics you have 72 hours.
  14. this version of it is very new, hence the -19 designation. I can't believe we still have hold outs this late in the game...
  15. I've been planting lettuce and spinach in mid april for quite some time now. Yeah there's a risk, but the leafy stuff never seemed to suffer from it. I haven't even started anything but peppers (just because they take so long), and the leafy stuff.
  16. you guys wonder if Papist is all torn up that he finally has a chance to come in and make fun of us stock market guys and flaunt his hording of canned foods?
  17. disagree, this thing as slayed dozens of critters. Single break action "pump" and you're good. https://www.amazon.com/Gamo-Rifle-Scope-Caliber-6110065654/dp/B004WMFX22
  18. previous home owner left one of these. Problem I have is my OCD. Our garden is on the other side of the pool. To keep it hooked up, I'd have to run a hose across one of our entrance paths and I just can't have that haha. If I had a dedicated spout over there or a different setup I'd be all in. Soaker hoses work best. At my last house the guy had a rain barrel setup that was sweet. Gravity fed from the shed to soaker hoses. Just turn it on and let it go. no expense.
  19. he's not showing what he's really growing down there
  20. started my lettuce, spinach and peppers in the seed starters. Lettuce already poking through. Raked the garden beds and fixed some fence so I can plant some corn too. Another week or 2 and stuff will go in the ground I think.
  21. i never made it out Saturday night with the rain. Maybe I'll go out Tuesday night? not sure yet. Just hard to get motivated for something I can't eat.
  22. i don't take it personnel. it just is what it is. the country has been divided for a long time on economic policy, and in times like this we aren't going to change for sure. What annoys me is my very liberal/progressive fans that think this bail out/stimulus is socialism. Which is a huge stretch. With regards to all of their profits, I think many invested in new infrastructure. I know my company increased capital spend and also gave $1k in stock to every employee. Most large corporations do not sit on cash unless they're planning to buy another business. They buy back shares or invest. Not very different from most Americans. We don't sit on much cash either, we buy new things, upgrade our homes, invest in our kids through college, new cars etc. Some have good savings account, but not enough usually to make it through several months. And others invest those extras into their 401k or other options where they can't easily withdraw.
  23. feeling much better today. wife tested positive for strep too. Looking forward to a 10pm sit maybe saturday night!
