  1. Hawaii sounds like a reasonable place for our next forum gtg.
  2. I know, I know. This particular day I'll be in Hawaii... so tough choice indeed haha
  3. The problem with the helmet law stuff is that every time some idiot wrecks his Harley and dies because he's too cool for a helmet, my bike insurance goes up. So the argument that "it doesn't affect you, who cares" is false. Not to mention the driver is sometimes not a fault and now has to live with your death on his/her conscious. I don't like the idea of mandatory blaze orange, but wouldn't throw a fit if it was enacted, but would like the law to be similar to Mississippi. Only required on public land and not required when 12' or higher in a tree. The idea being, a private land owner should have a good feel for their land and who is hunting it and on public land, you may not be shooting at movement through a brush, but you also may not be aware of a hunter downrange and a bad shot may find a hunter... on the ground, but not in a tree.
  4. Rochester is steady snowing. Kids have off and the roads are sloppy, but nothing doomsday. I'll probably leave work early as it's a quite day in the office.
  5. it doesn't even matter though. It's mother nature. A percentage of those fawns were probably weak or had issues that lead them to be coyote food. So had the yotes not got them, mother nature would have found a way. If mother nature didn't find a way in the spring, eventually the land would work it out as there is only a certain number of animals (on both sides) that a land can support and sustain. Again, i'm not anti-coyote, but "I'm saving the deer" is an absolutely pitiful argument unless you're trapping and killing 24/7 as the studies suggest is the only way. And even then the land has to be able to support the heard.
  6. I'd also take it off your hands if the shipping is reasonable. I see there's a long line, but regardless thanks for your generosity to the community.
  7. <- adds beaver scent to shopping cart for next september's bear hunt haha
  8. nah man. you've just got your head in the sand on this one. Your track record on this site is ripe with conspiracy theories and opinions, so we shouldn't be shocked that you're trying to read between the lines for something that isn't there. Hunting should be regulated. Unregulated hunting is what caused so many problems in the past. I wish people would be responsible and we didn't need regulations, but people are not.
  9. that's a very well though out statement, a little lengthy for the average american to read so they could tidy it up, but otherwise one of the best summaries i've seen.
  10. heard the tails were good to eat, but a lot of work. Every try one?
  11. hey you get out of here with your science! I know what I see in my backyard and these vermin need extermination!!!
  12. everybody just sits in a stand overlooking a foodplot now. I wish we had the orange army walking through the woods during gun season.
  13. I think i'd hang on to it unless you're selling to fund something else. Just my .02 but extra hunting stuff always has a special place in a tote in my garage haha.
  14. I don't want to clutter this up, but if any Roc folk or members want to just to meet at Genesse or sticky lips or something on a Friday night I'm game.
  15. it's not the gas, it's the time commitment. Full time working dad of 3 with 4 business trips coming up around that time. I would have a hard time getting away for what will be the whole day. That's 3 hours on the road as is for me.
  16. I'm not disputing that. I just take issue with the way you phrased it. And you doubled down with your statement about enjoying a good tussle. Me, myself I made it to yellow belt in 8th grade, but it was pretty clear from day 1 that I wasn't to go looking for trouble. And I feel the point of self defense should be just that. Last resort.
  17. actually it doesn't suck... and that's the problem haha!
  18. this is like 2 weeks too late for me good luck, great deal!
  19. the surgical masks yes. they do nothing. The N95's do provide protection so long as they're properly fitted.
