  1. I bet he knows the difference between “no” and “know” though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. For once sits is right. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. We had some older stands that had a few branches we used instead of screw in steps. Almost all stands now have ladder sticks. You can never trust wood, and should always test all your stands and climbing equipment every year if not more often. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. No dude I never measured mine because I own one of those pieces of technology dating back to the birth of our lord and savior, and like I said before I can honestly eyeball them within 10 pounds anyhow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. i just can't get over the fact that you want lawmakers to regulate the season MORE and charge hunters MORE. You live in some alternate reality dude.
  6. yeah but nuisance permits aren't available everywhere. Honestly how many of your areas would you avoid though? Just so you don't tip off mr. big or eliminate your bait? I know I'd probably hunt those 3 days at one of our properties, but not the other. no way.
  7. There is no season that prevents any licensed able bodied hunter from hunting. So your comment doesn't make any sense. If you want to have the "my deer" discussion, it's better served for those that buy, lease and post their land and don't allow anyone else to hunt it. That's "my deer".
  8. i don't think anyone would need a chart to know it's going to be popular. I bet a similar trend was evident when inline mz became popular. The real question is how many of those were new to archery and how many would have been in the woods regardless. In addition to understanding the percentage of disabled and elderly, for me this is the only thing the DEC would really want to know. Are we just changing the law to make it easier? Are we just changing to increase harvest rates? Are we just changing to appease an industry wanting more revenue? Or are we truly getting new hunters into the woods.
  9. assuming your neighbors and your property is pretty safe and large I'd just stop wearing orange or at least limit it to a hat, that's all I wear unless I'm tracking, then I add the vest. I know this doesn't answer your frustration, but a thought.
  10. so you admit right there that the chest girth chart is flawed?
  11. Completely disagree, but don’t have the energy to get into it right now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. This may be my favorite pic in this whole thread Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Kind of looks like a slug hole in that pine Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I wimped our this morning. Was well rested and prepared but with a decently full freezer and a long day yesterday I just didn’t have it in me. Leaving on a business trip and thinking about rushing through processing and not watching football and tree decorating... nah. I’ll hit it hard with the front stuffer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. All you really need is a knife. Do you not bring a knife into the woods? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Yeah totally understand that. I’m just not sure how it was depressed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. It is similar and all I can fathom, but dang... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. My belief is that it went deflected... some brush (but not thick) and I just can’t accept a clean miss at 60 yards. I should have had a follow up, the 4 doe didn’t immediately take off, but the whole bolt came out. So weird... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Racking in another bullet in my ruger American this morning and had the bolt come all the way out. Is this a design flaw where maybe I nudged it or something else? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. was looking for a triax last year but life got in the way. Also as a 30" draw guy I wasn't a fan of the short ATA. The new vertix is right where I'd want it, so I'm hoping to give her a try this spring. and PSA to members. I like matthews, no need to send your hate
