  1. I setup different angles and practice from a stand. I know it's not possible for everyone but it's good to practice how you play.
  2. I'm in Houston. The traffic here makes you want to punch a baby.
  3. Exactly. No controlled burns and efforts are made to stop and prevent fires. And listen, I don't want my camp or anyone else's camps or homes to burn, but in 30 years of going to the daks I've seen the wildlife decline and the forest canopy grow taller. It's just not natural and not helping out our critters. I love that my camp is forever wild. We have solar power, no motor boats on the lake and I love it. But common sense should prevail with respects to rejuvenate.
  4. In Mississippi they actually do controlled burns over the leafs and droppings in the national forest to reduce fire potential. The turkeys love the new growth
  5. Wildfires are what rejuvenate an old forest. In just a few years time it'll be thriving more than it has in decades. It's really what the dak's needs but the dec is too dumb to see it
  6. I have to admit that I've rarely heard 20 gauges referred to as tack drivers
  7. I just saw a video posted on this site with a guy plugging bolts at 100 yards. Seems legit
  8. I'm traveling on business this week and I've been drinking... I'd like to say again how much I dislike this.
  9. Not sure if the word "in" was a typo, but there are far cheaper and better solutions for indoor security. Exterior too really for that matter.
  10. I try to be very conscience of posting on vacation but less so since we moved. I don't like to let anyone know I'm on business and that my families alone either. Odd to see just hunting stuff stolen. Not an iPad, jewelry or anything light and easy?
  11. Get some dirt bag. It's made just for poachers!
  12. Point is, what is right for some is not for others. Do "ethics" is very rarely black and white or right or wrong. Have I mentioned what I do for a living? Yes I would.
  13. Gun season is kind of fun in its own way because of that atmosphere. It just has no place in archery. Both seasons represent 2 totally different emotions and goals and strategies for me. It's what I really love about hunting. Just when I'm sick of the stick and string and scent control and deer just out of range, in comes the gun with pumpkins and their 870s in orange jump suits pushing deer right to me. Oh well I guess it'll all blend together soon.
  14. Before you get all bent out of shape let's remember I never said I would do this, or that I have. It's more about how I'd feel about someone who did.
  15. Yes. I'd file an eeoc claim and win.
  16. simple gunvault safe on the bedstand or at the very lease a loaded mag in a separate compartment.
  17. this site is a HOOT! http://www.naturalnews.com/050757_vaccine_billboard_Jim_OKelly_vaccination_truth.html http://www.naturalnews.com/050743_Smart_Meters_explosions_house_fires.html http://www.naturalnews.com/050774_government_agencies_false_flags_Battlefield_America.html i think i'm on a watch list now just for visiting
  18. I do believe there is a limit. As a sears employee I buy a washer for my parents at a discount. Sears loses maybe $30. So there's "hurt" yes, but nothing that's going to close the door and it's a perk they realize helps attract people to work there. You're now a "guy that somebody knows that can get you a hook up". So there's a perk. In exchange perhaps my parents take me out to dinner. Nobody gets really harmed. Where sears gets harmed is when I buy a dozen and sell them on craigslist. So I believe I'm answering your question when I say yes I believe there's a level and it applies to the size of the store (mom and pops cant absorb as well) and the amount of times the discount is used.
  19. for breaking a rule. like i've said a few times, I believe ethics apply to laws sure, but they really come into question when one takes advantage of something that's not a rule. Like not putting an animal out of it's misery. That was my shitty analogy. haha.
