  1. And the guards will be made up of pissed off spike horns. Venison at the ball of course, though some one else will have to bring it as I don't share and haven't even been deer hunting yet.
  2. Nah Can't say I do chain letters and sign my name. I would love to see just how much this guy has paid in taxes the last few years, I bet he has many loop holes he uses and does not pay his share. Just like how he didn't have to pay interest on his defaulted loans, you and I try that and what happens.
  3. "I also find it humourous that these same people sit on there ass and copy paste quote and use thoughts from other people instead of there own words. " you mean people like the guy that ripped off the chain letter that got posted to start this thread?
  4. Let me guess where he is going...give the rich guy what he wants or else those people will loose their jobs...just like the billionaire threatened.
  5. I think the single biggest issue for the US is the out of control spending across the board, government is to big and no one is stopping them from the continual spending. Then at election time both parties claim they are going to change things and put a stop to it and nothing ever changes. Greed has taken over politics, nothing else matters to them at all.
  6. Any one remember Mcain denying the country was in economic trouble before the last election? Point is it could have been far worse then it is now with Obama, another case of choosing from two turds then too.
  7. The fear mongering message doesn't go far with me, basically he is saying you are free to vote for whoever you like but if you don't vote for Romney you will loose your job's. On top of that this particular guy already laid off a bunch of his employee's in 07 and can't control his own personal finances so who cares what he says.
  8. Just funny that people take the words of a chain letter modified by a D-bag, (and he is a d-bag) and stand around and cheer it on. This billionaire is so out of touch with reality it ain't funny, you should check out the documentary on him and his wife. This guy filed bankrupcy and never had to pay interest on his massive loans, he should be the last one we look to for advice on the economy.
  9. Its no shocker that a thread about weiners has Elmo posting on it... JK Elmo
  10. I have only shot a few from a stand, maybe three, all the rest have been from the ground. Never been up a tree with a gun either. I have killed a bunch standing in front of a tree to break up my back ground or while still hunting with the bow. It's harder that way but not impossible.
  11. I can only imagine coming up on that thing, first thought would have been "Oh no Im going to spook him" then the realization that he is dead..bummer
  12. Thanks everyone, it was a great trip, I was preparred for the beauty of the area but what I was not ready for was just how dead silent it is up there. You could hear the Loon's calling from way out on the lake and I swear you could have heard a pin drop on the shore of the Lake. The smell of the air is also unforgetable, I thought we had clean air where I live until we got there way out in the woods. I think probaly the best part is that my wife is now crazy about hunting, she has hunted a few years now but this trip did something for her. She was asking me about doing a bear hunt up there and she is the one that has been looking for places to stay next time already and on and on. I need to get her out west on a bird hunt, thats another direction I want to head down the road..hehe Oh and 16gage I think your flusher would do well in Maine, all of the birds we encountered were right around the logging roads or close to them. The only tough part for her would be you may need to cover some miles by foot to make it happen, we deffinetly put some miles on our boots up there.
  13. Too bad you didnt get the arrow back at least you would have known if it hit the guts at all, above the guts back there behind the diaphram he could be fine, nic the guts there and you are hard pressed to find it.
  14. Some bucks just like they are bad a@#, thats one of them!
  15. Grinnin like a fool..love it haha congrats!
  16. I can only fit 5 pins on my sight due to heavy arrows, 20 out to 56, I float the pin for 60 yard practice shots..lol
  17. We went there a few years ago when my daughter was @6-7 months old, matter of fact we bought my wifes bow at Gander while we were out there on that trip. That was also the trip where my son was carrying the wings from whatever famous wing place in the hotel and up the elevator and when we got off there was a trail of wing sauce all down the hall to our room. The capper was the next day when he ratted all of us out to housekeeping.."Hey guess what I did yesterday" lol
  18. Thank you setters4life, feel free to add any tid bits like that, its all helpfull to me trust me. I was having that same talk on the way home yesterday byt the way, do we go first week or later on..lol, funny how us bird hunters all have the same discussions.
  19. I had read that this was the best year since 95 for birds in the north as they had a sucessful hatch in the spring. The next trip we want to go towards Alagash and and points north and maybe catch the Timberdoodles on their way south as we were a bit early for them this trip. There really is nothing like the big woods of Maine, We are both hooked for life. We saw one road hunter that spotted one at 45 mph, he slammed on the brakes and all of the trucks doors flew open and guys scattered the ditch with bird shot..lol He was a pro!
  20. What if you shoot one from the road that flys? maybe call that a Grousestridge? lol
