  1. Boy that diareha of the mouth is killing you, do you know where or what I hunt? Nope you don't. Please show me what part of NY's herd (note the spelling) is not healthy.
  2. Seriously? He called a woman a slut on his radio show because he didn't agree with her and has lost lots of advertising for that and other over the top remarks and you say he is not foul mouthed? Who cares about any of those guys like him and Maher.
  3. So then why did you shoot a 4 four pointer that you referenced in another thread?
  4. Hey Jackass it would be quit not quite. You are indeed a moron and have proven so many times on this forum, especially with some of your "advice" you give. I suggest you stick to playing northwoods hunter once or twice a year and stay down there the rest of the year.
  5. I have seen an awefull lot of threads and comments on broadhead selection and one of the reoccuring theme's is that fixed, and sometimes mechanical broadheads do not fly the same as field points. It can be a hair pulling frustrating time of the year for us bowhunters but it doesn't need to be. Provided you are shooting properly spinned arrows it can be simple. Even if you have a decent tune on your bow you may still experience this issue and here is how to fix it. Shoot a mix of Broad head and field point tipped arrows, note where the groups are and where they differ. Consitancy is important in this phase, you have to do your job of shooting well to make it count. As an example, I have field points hitting and grouping great but my BH's are grouping low and right. To fix this I will move my rest in the direction I want the arrow to go right or left and the opposite for up and down. In my example I will move the rest to the left about 1/16 and try again, sometimes little adjustments help a lot so don't go crazy with movements of the rest. You may also see the up and down direction corrected once you are on so work on one direction at a time. Keep at it untill your broad heads and field points are grouping the same, once they hit and group in the same spot adjust sights accoudingly and presto, you have a tuned bow ready to go! You may also have great groups at 20 and less so at 30 and beyond, broadhead tuning will fix this too. In the end you may notice your field points grouping better aswell. Another thing I do is mark the rest where I can with a marker so I know how far I am moving and where I started from. Last year I had a new string put on and the overzealous fella that did it "helped me out" by moving my rest and fixing my center shot, of course it made things a pain for me this summer to re-tune my rest but luckily I had the rest marked and returned it to normal in short order.
  6. http://www.snopes.com/politics/guns/scott.asp His words are true, the stuff in the chain mail not 100% true but the message he gave is true.
  7. The true sad part is we let politics and politicians decide our huntings laws now, what a croc.
  8. He is the only guy I know that is afraid of cows so it made it all the better for me to laught at after. He was upset with me and my Dad the time we were imitating a calf's bawl to get the cows to come closer on the way out of the woods, same fields to..hehe
  9. I recall this one day when we went to do a little drive thru a little brush patch. My brother went in and I was on watch along with another guy when I heard this crazy loud rucus coming from the brush patch, I thought maybe it was a herd of deer at first but quickly out poped a large Bull that was hiding out in there..lol and to top it off my brother does not like cows so he came out a little frazzeled looking.
  10. Doc said "I am seriously wondering what fish & game clubs, gun clubs, archery clubs and other such organizations that so many hunters belong to are doing to promote the sport. Back when I was a member of a bowhunter's club. we had several events and activities each year devoted toward promoting youth participation, and also conducted some mentored hunts. Today, I don't hear a peep from any of these kinds of outfits." I know hunter numbers are declining but I do see these kind of activities in my area still. Matter of fact I am trying to get into participating in the youth Pheasant hunt weekend coming up but there are people that go every year with their dogs to help the kids get started and there may not be room for me. The two clubs I go to have plenty of youth oriented stuff going on, and there is plenty of stuff in other clubs I am a memeber of too. Sometimes I think we get all wrapped up in the numbers leaving the sport and forget that there are still lots of avenues in place to help out, and have fun doing so.
  11. Forever fixed for me. Braodhead tuning is the most important and simple part that gets over looked most of the time. A couple of minute adjustments and they flu the same as field points.
  12. Yea I can't wait for Pheasant opener and my trip to Maine, wait you talking about deer season? haha We have more busy doing dog training stuff this year so we have been busy for a few weeks and will remain so right till both seasons open and wouldn't want it any other way.
  13. All in good time, well done!
  14. I seen a whole mess of them in and around a cut corn field, right next to us at the pick your own tomato and berry fields..hehe Damn things know where to stay safe. At least I can have fresh home made sauce and forget about them.
  15. I am already dressed in full camo and carry all of my gear with me every where I go, I hung a tree stand in the court yard of my work and take lunch there. I sleep in a blind so the deer are used to my scent from now until opening day. I have a back up of everything I own and could open a sporting goods store with all of the stuff I have just in case. I removed every leaf from every tree below 19 feet including the leaves on the forest floor. I AM READY!!!!!!! The reality is I will be ready 5 minutes before the first time I head out, although my broadheads are all set so I am doing good.
  16. So it legal pre season, just can't hunt over it. Got it.
  17. Not that many will read this but, http://news.yahoo.com/fact-check-ryan-takes-factual-shortcuts-speech-070905927.html
  18. I wouldn't look to any politician to solve any math problems, you can't spend more than you make and expect things to get better yet every one of them does that.
  19. That is the most likely scenario, its legal in PA ain't it?
  20. Yup, its important to remember deer don't care what you are sighted in for. You must know your equipment and your own capabilities in such a situation. I have never ranged a deer before shooting it, just have a good idea of what my set up will do and approximate yardage.
  21. Yup, too bad we don't have 4 years and your out. Same goes for all politicians. Give them a chance and then they are done, no more career's in politics.
  22. No need for a pin at those close ranges, 2-3 inches high is no biggie if you are aiming in the lower third.
  23. Any one looked at Ryan's voting record? He voted for a lot of the debt he is now saying he is going to take care of, funny how things change when running for VP.
  24. Yes clearly he is waiting for his second term to spring a trap and take your guns away, and he is kidding when he says he isn't going to take your guns.
