    Just have him practice holding it to his shoulder and do not let him trip the trigger unless he has a tight hold of it, he needs to be ready for the recoil not frightened of it. Personally I think a light weight gun is too much for beginners, it translates to more felt recoil. Damn good price on a hunting rig.

    Not too many breeders use ear tatoo's in the US, some in Canada still do. Ear tats and tags are still legal with this law, just not stuff you might see on a human to look cool. And Sits Micro chip's are only good if they work and the person scanning for them has matching software.

    Who aged those deer? I have not seen anything you have killed that is over 2.5 so I guess that means I'm calling BS on those. Guess what I bow hunt, don't use any scent control, I have a career and young family, new land this year to hunt and I kill more deer than you..lol This isn't about debating increasing odds, it's about you thinking people are slobs because they don't do things the same way you do. Don't back peddle it makes you a slob.

How many deer have you killed this year using your methods, I know you took a young doe up here but have there been any others? Really we could push the age higher to true maturity but let's use the common 3.5 years.

    An animal raised on a farm is always considered a farm animal no matter how big a pen you let it loose in. I have been to preserves with my dogs to shoot Pheasant and you can literally walk up to these farm animals(deer, elk ect) and shoot them. It is not hunting nor will it ever be no matter how often or loud you cry.

    There is also a list of dudes that don't dare set foot in the woods or touch a leaf without worrying about scent. Those are the over thinkers that don't kill any more deer than anyone else. I chuckle every time I read a post like that,whatever gets them through the season is fine by me. I don't have to care just cause they do.

    The only scent control I care about is the wind and thermals. I will get gas in my truck while eating a bacon sandwich and still see and kill deer.
