Smittys might have one, you never know. http://www.smittystrapping.com/pages/home

Who would even carry that up this way? Hmm I'll have to look them up.
-
I'll fix that.... Buy a Browning!
-
Bkln what action are you thinking?
-
That was my first o/u, I have the Condor in 20g. It's a useable cheap gun just like the other fellas said. I paid $300 used.

North American Versitile Hunting Dog Association, UT is short for Utility and it is a test for a finished dog. It combines field work, retrieve, live duck search in a pond, and obedience basically.

Birco is in CT with a good family, he hunts a lot. I know I have seen his pic at a upscale place as a hired hand on weekends. Now there is a dog with some testing behind it, he had been through the German system and is now going through the Navhda system already passed his UT test.

Here are my two Griffs with our haul right before X-Mas
-
Hehe us dog people stick together, I know the GSP guy to.
-
Ha I bet I know your friend. Is her name Jenny? I'm leaving her last name off on purpose. That dog, Birco, is a fantastic dog. Wirehaires are a pain in the butt though, whiney, suffer separation anxiety and you never really do know if they might snap and eat you cat. I have Wirehaired Pointing Griffon's and one German wirehaired pointer who is a pain in the butt lol.
-
If you really want a rescue shoot me your contact info and the next time a German short hair comes up I'll let you know. I'm in a club and see at least a couple GSP's go up every year. Not my choice for a dog but LOTS of folks love them. To high strung for me.

I haven't seen that but I have force broke my dogs so they don't blink a retrieve.

Blood lines are important but you have to know what to look for. Testing (hunting and show ring to an extent) helps prove the breeders work, with out it you get bad traits that you might see in certain popular breeds now. If you keep an eye out when you are ready you just might find a rescue purebred. I don't recommend taking in a "washout" as you will inherit someone else's problem. If I was a nice guy I might offer to take you out with my dogs next fall, but I wouldn't want you to get spoiled hunting over my fancy purebred expensive bird dogs ???? and no you can't have a puppy for free lol. If you and I are both still active on this website next fall I'll look you up for some Timberdoodle huntin.

I have a terrible habit of squeezing the trigger the second the bird hits my sight window thus shooting behind many close birds.

All I'm missing is the open cover. Lol Now let's add in hunting over a pointer (pick your breed), Woodcock hold so tight you can step on them, Pheseant hold ok but like to run rather than fly which gets annoying when you want them to fly. Grouse on the other hand bust and are the toughest to get to hold. Woodcock are my personal favorite because of all the action followed closely by Grouse. I had a good fall for points and flushes on both but the absolute worst for hitting. I need to step up my practice, all those training days with Chukkar tricked me into thinking I was good. Haha I should be heading to an area outside of Fredericton NB next fall to chase both with some good friends and good dogs, can't wait.
-
Personally I'd say Woodcock, at least Grouse fly in a predictable path. But that's just me

The key word Wilcat mentioned is stimulation, ecollars shouldn't be used for punishment but rather corrections and stimulations. There really is a whole lot more to this topic than can be explained in a thread. I recommend getting a lesson from a informed trainer. Are you near Albany or Saratoga?

If you get an e collar learn how to use it first. Beyond that what you have is an adolescent dog, they do that around that age. Just be consistent with her, command correct command.

Looking to get a shotgun barrel rifled.

It is easier to pick up a different set up like this.. http://www.wantaddigest.com/forsale/wantad.asp?onlineid=KIR0005&adid=A00001#.VLW04oE8KK0 You mentioned youth model, ain't that a lil short on you? Nothing wrong with a smooth bore by the way. -
Huh? Grow a set if you want to try and call someone out, and take some responsibility. You called me a jackass, why because I told you no one cares about your law breaking mullet sporting self? 1. You brag about breaking the law all the time. 2. You sport a mullet. Not name calling that's facts jack. You delusions and attention whoring are getting worse by the day, I feel sad for you.

We were happier than could be when we found out the dairy that we dealt with for a few years will deliver to the area we moved to, it took a few months but their business grew in this area. Starting tomorrow we are back to fresh milk in glass bottles delivered to our doorstep. Sure we pay more but it's so good! Plus they carry a variety of other local products from other farms in the area including eggs. Our land is far to wet for a garden so that's out but there is a farm stand less than a mile away that carries all sorts of good stuff all summer and fall long. My favorite local place is Smith's pies, although living two minutes away from fresh pie isn't the best thing for my waistline though. Next spring the chicken coop is on my to do list, along with a flight pen for other birds I can use for dog training. I love knowing where my food comes from.

We moved in late summer so this is our first year with a wood stove since we were both kids. We have a Hearthstone with the soap stone and love it. We payed $220 a cord for green split, log legnth go for @$100-120 a cord around me. I did find a old guy selling off his seasoned wood for $200 a healthy cord. Still cheaper than oil and I like it better to boot. This year I am going to take a few cord off my property and next year I will be looking for logs.
