  1. I once knew a guy that saw a Wolf riding an Elk that was being hunted by a Mountain Lion on a leash held by a Sasqauch. Combined weight of 2019 pounds. Truth.
  2. Isn't it time to comb your mullet and have another smoke?
  3. I'm jealous of his yellow/gray mullet. By the way Fsw, I hear Russia has boars and they do well in cold temps. Oh and CWD
  4. That's for sure, we see plenty of bucks compared to doe, but our area seems like it has been down for many years in total population. We hunt just outside of Richmondville, how about you?
  5. AR's in 4f? One of our places to hunt is in 4F, we see/ track big bucks every year. I see no need for them. The neighbors can't kill all the bucks so I don't worry about what they kill.
  6. I'm satisfied with all of my rifles. This was a 4 shot string last year when I was working up a load for my 7mm.
  7. Browning A-Bolt long trac 7mm RM with 160gr hand loads. Who knows the rest of the year.
  8. Haha yea cause deer care about clothing choices.
  9. Good luck! Just in case here are a few excuses to have at the ready. My scope fogged up The buck moved at the last second I didn't see that tree The deer was too close The deer was too far It was just a warning shot I had my eyes closed so it was more of a challenge The bullet was in the chamber backwards That should be enough for you guys for a few days.
  10. If I ever were able to hunt Muley, I would want to kill one like that. Magnificent buck.
  11. Who cares about Hsus loosing a battle to end hunting in a different state? Well that's a silly question.
  12. Just started to find scrapes and a rub here in 5R on Sunday, I attribute that to youngins.
  13. Hip quiver all the way here, in fact I have never even tried a quiver on any bow ever. I just don't think I could get used to it. My current set up is a quiver meant for a bow that I have attached to a waist fanny pack that I take off when I get to a stand. While still hunting it's right where I need it.
  14. I think if you want to sidetrack a thread you should start a new thread. I notice you never once got into bear managent effectiveness in Maine. Instead you choose to discuss your opinion on what is fair chase. That's typical of your type.
  15. No you aren't. You are the type that likes to make management opinions based on what YOU see as right not what the needs of the species are. Did you know the Dec is open to discussion on alternate bear management options in NY to stop the growth of bear populations in areas of the state where they do not want more bear?
  16. Bear hunting in Maine is about wildlife population management and tradition. It's not reasonable to compare Bear to deer or turkey but your type always does. Did you know that Bear populations in Maine continue to grow under its current management system? I'm especially happy that Hsus lost this battle in Maine.
  17. County by county results. http://townhall.com/election/2014/governor/ny/county
  18. In 5J you certainly can shoot a doe during bow season, not in gun season but can again in ML season. Some areas in the NZ have doe permits, just not the majority. There is a map on the Dec page if you look .
  19. What's the biggest you or you buddy's have taken?
  20. I'm calling total BS on this 83 pound yote. I am also calling BS on a world record whitetail going undocumented. Sure high scoring deer are killed and no one hears but that's not so for "record breaking" deer.
  21. Are you really that naive to think that politicians can't or won't shut down your industry?
