I've help with a lot of classes the last several years. Everyone has had at least 1 who needed an oral test - from 14 to 60. No problem and glad to do it, but its kind od sad we have that many in this day and age who cannot read the basics.

ASAT or predator - open designs that break up the outline. All the green brandnames types show a blob of the human form starting at 15 to 20 yds and are wothless in my opinion.

Still would be the better reply. People do that Pat to give you a chance to explain to us slow ones what you are trying to say. Like if you are really killing 3 bucks a year and who told you not to hunt because you are not headhunting.

No one here said anything close to that.

You have shot 3 bucks a year for 3 years?? What part of NY? I could have shot an 8pt every year for the last 5 years. I didn't because they where all 1.5 years old.

A few wild ones - escapees and offspring - but not enough anywhere to bother targeting them. Most are killed as a target of opportunity.

Bill - pretty much everyone has given their idea of a plan, but I don't remember seeing a specific one from Joe that he alluded to. I seem to remember he does not support AR. Just trying to save a search for it.

I may have missed the posting of the plan - at 80 pages it's possible. Can you point to it again? Thanks

John - the 60% is taken directly from the study done for the proposal for here - the one I sent you and we posted. It actually includes 3 wmu's in CNY.

Which is why a restriction, although not perfect, is better then nothing at all. Not in 7J where almost 60% of the 1.5's are 6pt or better. All it takes is for all those who claim to support AR to start walking the talk instead of paying lip service.

send letters for crossbows in NY
SteveB replied to sits in trees's topic in NYS DEC News and Annoucements
There was a petition at my local shop about a year ago for full inclusion. In about a month, there was well over a 100 signatures. Shop owner said less then 10 declined to sign. Many comments of "I don't want one but don't care if others do". This is in southern Cayuga County. -
If everyone who claims to support AR actually practiced it, there would be no need to make it law. Especially if they quit shooting 1.5 6 pts as well - which AR will not do.

Nugent is the best self promoter I have ever seen. Everything he says and does is done for one purpose - to promote himself and get paid. Preaches to the choir for the check - now or future. I have zero respect for him and refuse toconsider him a representative for me at any level.

The thread and bill are about letting disabled use all ARCHERY equipment in the bow season. Where did the "allow them guns in the bow season" come from? Perhaps start a new thread for opinions if that is indeed an avenue one feels is needed and is passionate about - or not if it is just another attempted diversion. -
So if they don't tag the deer, what makes you think they would honor AR's? Amazing how little thought is put into some posts.

Often when you argue with an idiot, it can be hard for someone watching to tell who the idiot is. Not so in this case.

What do you say to our hunting brothers in the Daks that don't have permits? 40% of the wmu's have no or low chance of getting a doe permit. Make's "just shoot a doe" tough to do.

For overall smoking and slow cooking, the mid to upper end electric are the way to go. Insulated cabinents, temperature probs for control, and setit/forget it time and temp controls. No monitoring or checking needed until done.

It's come up for vote several times in the past. Got a link to the bill? Thanks and welcome. -

One more time - a crossbow is no more powerful then a compound bow. If indeed they where more dangerous, then reports could be found proving so in the states where they are legal - some for many years. Such reports would be great tools for the anti crossbowers and they would be all over that. If there was proof, you can bet your last dollar NYB would have it all over everywhere - I have never seen them use it. -

Or orange toilet paper for the morning after? -
If we don't believe this, how can we believe anyone knows 80% (or whatever) of the 1.5's are killed? Selective data acceptance?
