  1. No I'm saying you clean up a picture of a deer to censor blood but yet every piece of meat in a market is covered in blood so I don't see why blood is so offensive Misread you - I agree.
  2. I'm 98% sure it's real and untouched - will verify in the next day or 2. Until then, you guys can keep playing "mines bigger". ;D
  3. Don't think claymores would even qualify as guns let alone archery equipment.
  4. Only 70 when the winds blows like it has been
  5. Need a litlle range time (backyard) for my Triumph - trying a slightly different load. Also had my old Omega come back to visit for the season - want to work up a BH209 load for old times sake.
  6. Bubba - give him a break. I have him stretched out in another AR thread ;D .
  7. The 2.5 I posted is a young deer - probably was near P&Y as a 1.5. He got that big from lots of quality feed. 4 yrs ago, a 2.5 (aged by jawbone by the DEC) green scoring 182 was taken 4 miles from where I live. Food - quality and quantity - are huge determing factors in a deers development. If the above isn't enough proof of that, visit a deer farm and look at their 1.5 and 2.5's.
  8. Obvious that some just can't handle facts and logic - obvious there is nothing I can post to change that. The article I posted gave real info - how you can't see it is beyound me. Your opinions have even less hard evidence provided and yet should be accepted as gosphel. Keep your AR in your area - I don't care. But I think it's funny to let spikes and 4pts go and shoot basket racked 1.5 and 2.5's - still not letting anything mature. And don't try to tell me AR should be everywhere based on what you observe in your backyard. Mississippi has proven that inflexible methods can and do have negatives.
  9. Most all 7j/h is a mix of public and private land with intense pressure. Not even close to the equivelent of unit wide mandatory AR - lot's of young ones still get shot. There are a lot more hunters are choosing to let smaller bucks walk, but far from a majority. Those who do so are for the most part not shooting basket racked 6 and 8's most likely 2.5 and under either, which would be AR legal. They are after more mature deer and are wise enough to know that simply counting points tells them little in these areas. True - he would be a young, immature, and AR legal - and stand an excellent chance of not making it to 3.5.
  10. 2nd one down was tooth aged aged at 2.5 by a long time taxidemist doing the mount. Imagine - no AR here - how could this be possible? ;D
  11. A few bucks from Cayuga Cty 7j/7h.
  12. I like to pursue and kill animals for food and pest control. My intent every time I go to the woods during hunting season is to kill an animal meeting my standards. If it wasn't, I would carry a camera when I went.
  13. Still need to get a permit from the state, although it is far easier then the breath tube thing for crossbows. Funny thing about the Drawloc - they promote themselves as a vertical crossbow and do not have to be drawn in the precense of game - and yet they are fine with NYB :

  15. They don't get that big by getting shot as 1.5 or 2.5 AR legal bucks. Actually there is. Read about the results of 4 pt/side AR in Mississippi.
  16. Not in 5 years by choice. Don't care what others do legally and don't want my choices to be law. Its not "brown and down" to shoot 2.5's and younger if they are 6 pt or better. ;D
  17. SteveB, What do you consider "max for conditions" How many acres and how many hunters? 1st - 290 acres - 2 to 3 hunters 2nd - 60 acres - 4 to 5 3rd - 95 acres - 5
  18. I say no since the properties are at max for conditions.
  19. Just don't carry it in your back pocket.
  20. 80 with the recurve - 120 (bottom of the site) with the compound
  21. Ethical picture taking - I do believe I have now heard it all. :
  22. Change may be slower thru education, but I see it happening around me in 7J. A lot more hunters holding out for older deer then where do so even 5 years ago.
