Four Season Whitetail's

Have prob 80 birds or better on the farm now with monday morning 13 toms showin their stuff. There are a pile of them around this year!

Time for the 3 S's.

Kinda off subject and will not get into a pissin match with anyone but i believe this is the way of the world and one reason high fence hunts are a huge growing industry. I know for a fact that many places in Ny did not have enough bucks for the demand. Have heard this all across the country. People just want stuff fast and done now. It is not a good thing for sure but i believe with land gettin ate up in houses or lease and public land with no deer the hunter numbers will keep falling!

Good point but i can set the season on the inside. On the outside i can do everything but set the season. lol

I do set the rules for the deer on my land. If its hunting season i say who hunts him.When and if someone hunts him and what they hunt him with. If a deer never leaves a piece of private then i would say that landowner has say what happens to that deer. You can say they dont own him but nobody can touch him while on that land. Soooooooo

The way i see it is if that deer stands on my 700 acres i do own it while it is there and can tell whom and to a point what that deer will be shot with! Kinda like its mine for today and may be yours in the morning!

Not if you want to see that buck survive. Have had this happen behind fence before. Had to cut the old pedical off as the new growth and velvet grew up around it. Messed up his growth for the next couple years!

We have a pile of turkeys up here again this year and dont talk about Geese. We have probably a million Snow Geese up here now. They have been hangin around for a week or so. Kinda strange to watch the sky go BLACK with WHITE birds!

I would have to ask what you thought a nice buck was and if you ever got a nice one yourself? I thought most thought any buck was a nice buck with a bow! I would like to know if your nice one is the same as my nice one!!!!

Hunting will again become a rich mans sport. High fence will keep growing at record pace! Hunting is in the back seat now with most of the world. Kids dont hunt. Electronics will keep growing. The change in my 30 years hunting has been huge!

Cool. Need to take a trip down to the farm soon and take a walk. Maybe hit letchworth if the road is open!!

Yeah Buddy...A record, I agree again. Ar,Shorter Season,1 Buck and no guns during the rut and you must have every deer taken brought to a check station along with sending back unused tags. That way some would have to verse their wives real good before they got to the check station and a few question were asked!!! That i sure could live with! Where do i sign up.

One could argue that one! Still has shaft,Broadhead and string! Comes back to someones choice on AR. I want AR because I want more and bigger bucks in the areas i hunt. Kind of makes me only worried about myself- Even though everyone i know and hunt with wants the same-. Someone that does not want xbows in THEIR bow season is right in the same boat as you are taking away their choice!

Oh i agree with your post. Up there a few post someone says they should not allow xbows because someone wont practice and make sloppy shots/Hunters.....We have them in every season we have so xbow will be no different. Someone against xbows has no true reason not to want them unless they think it will harm them in some way. Like take their woods, Their stand,THEIR DEER!

Why worry about what someone else is hunting with? Unless it has something to do with you. If thats the case then you ae woried they might take a deer that maybe you could have taken! This practice crap dos not cut it either. Go back and read the bow thread during last years bow season. Many poor hits and losses. Its going to happen reguardless. If you dont want to hunt with something, Then dont but dont tell someone else they shouldnt. Kinda goes back to the AR thing. Some dont want to be told what they can harvest and some dont want to be told what and when they can harvest with.

+1...I believe anyone worried about someone else being in the woods with them is a tad childish. I guess if you only hunted state land then you might have to change your ways a bit but to say you cant go in the woods with me because you dont practice?

You had to drive right by my 700 acres of sweetness on your way up through to get to black lake area. Im about 5 miles north of theresa on the edge of the military base!

I bowl 3 nights a week now. 2 mens leauges and 1 couples..Love it. Not to bad at it with 200,202,198 averages for the 3 nights. One of the nights i sub for a couple of other guys. Its cool he won that as i bowl with 2 guys that went down and did well. George made it to the last 4 in the winners bracket and Jason made it to last last group of 10 in believe in the losers bracket. They make it a tough shot for that tourny so to win it or just make it that far is tough to say the least. Congrats to him!

800 or even 1000 acres is still kinda small to practice qdm without any harm from the outside, Bucks will leave that size land and get blasted on the line. Hard to do true magmt but every little bit helps i guess. I have 700 acres but also 20,000 public acres on one side. 700 is way to small!!

Could be i guess but the way things are working out the looks of some of them does not help. All eyes do not see the same thing, Even if they are the same!

Where have we heard this before? Instead of someone taking something away, someone is going to give someone something and we still get complaints!

Thats just the way it is i guess. Alot of guys do not have any or see any use for a 30 shot clip. They are hunters and just use old time rifles and shotguns. Does not give anyone the right to tell someone what they can have but if you poll the general public..30 Shot clips and such would get knocked out! You have to admit they did themselves no favors by making a regular yote or chuck rifle look like something out of war times. In many eyes. I dont own any or know of any but have heard talk of the look of some such new guns!

Thats where im at. Most anyone i know has no use for the stuff that they are after. I would still fight the fight but not for saving what they are now outlawing... Just how they are doing it! Biz is right in his way of thinking also. You will never see all guns outlawed just because of hunting. Many have a bow, rifle, muzzle and shotgun and thats it. Hunting weapons!!

If they are dropping then AR must be doin its job in the areas its set up in!
