Good now that we know she's OK we can start makin fun of her again. Someone should go to one of these other sites she posts on and tell her to get her ass back here!
-
Interesting.

That's some funny stuff there, LOL! but all kidding aside seems strange that she hasn't been around, hopefully all is well and she just got sick of us knuckleheads and needed a break...

CT gun confiscation
sits in trees replied to boo711's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Not true, I heard the very same telephone conversation with the head of the CT state troopers and he said nothing about going door to door in his statements even thought the lunatic women who was interviewing him was trying to press him into saying it "he did not". As a matter of fact he clearly said they would not be be doing door to door searches. -
New to this page, NY and most important hunting
sits in trees replied to Nowak8510's topic in Introductions
I get a very strong vibe from your post that you are really going to be into it and will probably like most on this site get into it hook line and sinker. Its pretty much a way of life for most of us and I know I would shrivel up and die if I couldn't get into the wilderness every year and go hunting.... -
I don't think you will have any problem finding good areas to hunt in Goshen...
-
Thanks Doc, these crossbow threads do nothing but seperate us as a group and they have become worn out and replayed so many times that its got to the point of sillyness. Whats gonna happen will happen...

It depends what you want to get across, I have something similar and we like to get our 4 wheelers across. To accomplish that it takes big lumber, carriage bolts, lags, lots of long screws. You can go pressure treated or hook up with a mill and get rough cut lumber. Then you need a way to drag you lumber out there, ect. Oh and take it from me, if you gonna build it make something that will handle a 4 wheeler.

So is this what you "upstate guys" do on a Saturday night?

With all the Long Island women up here during ski season why would one have to resort to a cow?????? -
are you sure its not the ammo? If not call TC, there have been recalls by them lately, not saying your gun falls into the recalls but misfires on a TC are almost non-existent. You really would have had to sling that gun threw some rough stuff to make it misfire.

That will be another 10 million middle of the road gun owner votes lost. When is the GOP gonna wake up. -

Bought myself a Lesser Evil black gun
sits in trees replied to UpstateNomad90's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
They are great guns, made by the same Russian factory that makes the invincible AK-47.... -
I want to purchase bails of hay or whatever and toss them out behind my barn, is that illegal? Does the law clearly state that hay bails have to be stored in doors?
-
Pics and a magnet sign aint gonna cut it bub, you have only 3 posts. You wanna get anywhere with savvy NY'ers you better start by putting up some real info. And you better take plastic because no one here is stupid enough to send you a check. NY'ers pay with plastic so they can stop payment and they want all your info so they can sue you if you don't come thru with everything promised....Just sayin.

Yea its 10 degrees and the snow is hardening to concrete, the deer are just about knocking on my door now....Think I will start by taking the burlap off some of my pines, that's if everyone here promises not to rat me out and have me arrested, Hee,Hee....

There's 4 million people in Brooklyn alone. They all couldn't have been flown in.

Things are real bad? went to a fine restaurant in northern Orange county for a relatives B-day last night. Made reservations and we still had to wait a good 40 minutes. The place was packed and I would say the average cost of each and every car in that parking lot was over 50K except for mine of course. I'm still having a hard time seeing this gloom and doom NY is dying scenario many of you seem to be so fond of here. I do remember the recession many of us lived thru in NY back in the 70s and there were For Sale signs on every other house looking down any road. You couldn't drive your car on many NY roads without sustaining suspension damage or even spinal injury the potholes were so deep. You have to realize that most of this Gloom and Doom NY thing you are hearing about has a lot of political motivation behind...

Remington Relocating Jobs?

What about giving homeowners a tax break? -
Your wrong, they live on my land, eat my vegetation, drink from my swamps, eat MY shrubs, eat MY lawn, sleep on my property, crap on my property, die on my property from natural causes and massive blood loss, have sex and reproduce on my property, So Yea they are my freakin deer.
-
Yea they are desperate for food around here with snow cover for several weeks now. I know your not supposed to feed them and I do understand and respect biologist's concerns about unnatural food sources(corn) this time of year and causing tummy upset. But is their anything that we can supplement them with now, I was thinking hay because I have seen them dig thru the snow to an old pile of hay to get at it and they stood there eating no more than 40yds from the back of my house. And deer will eat dormant grasses year round anyhow. Any thoughts would be appreciated as I would hate to see our healthy deer herd with good numbers be depleted by one really bad winter..

For all those crossbow haters out there, keep your eyes on the classifieds there's gonna be tons of deals on regular bows and accessories soon in NY state.
