  1. I read that letter in the Penthouse forum in 1976!
  2. I enjoy Clint Eastwood films over John Wayne, but with the right perspective, I could watch either one over a lot of other actors! I have seen the Dirty Harry movies, but I’d rather watch him in a western or some of his more recent films like Gran Torino or The Mule.
  3. You’re gonna be too busy to fish! Nice list, good idea to write it down as you go.
  4. My wife made Hanks Shaws Tiawanese Beef Noodle Soup, using deer shank in place of the beef. I had a hard time giving up shanks without getting Osso Bucco, but this was an excellent dish! Lots of leftovers too, so I'll be eating this into the weekend. Glass of 2017 Marywood homemade wine was a good match. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  5. Venison Bulgogi. We had Bulgogi from a local sushi place and loved it, so i looked up a venison version. Did not disappoint! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  6. Turkey Sounds (BlackbeltBill) Beer (Turkeyfeathers) Facebook Raffles (Cynthia) BB Balls (Wolc) Geology (Dinorocks)
  7. If the categories were lined up properly I’ll bet a few of us could sweep the board. Such as: Walleye Rigs (Treeguy and RobHuntFish) Academy Rules (Tacks) CWD (Four Seasons only allowed to answer) Dirty Jokes (Pygmy runs the line and gets both daily doubles) Venison Cuts - Sear or braise? (Crappy and/or Chef) I’m sure there are others.
  8. The_Real_TCIII is a Real Diehard!
  9. Brian, I am so sorry for your loss. My family will be sending your family prayers for strength and love during this difficult time.

    Ice Fishing

I am going to need those coordinates. I will bring a ladder too!
  11. Rob, you had all the tools needed on deck already! Maybe some nicer pliers and a scalpel. Oh, and we might as well get a nice nurse too, just to be sure you don’t get an infection. Did you play 36-24-36?
  12. I plowed my 250’ driveway at my old house with a Arctic Cat 500. It worked great about 90% of the time. Occasionally I would need a truck and a snow plow to really clean up and move banks back a bit. Any big storms, I would just go get the truck and be done with it. I saw a small Kubota tractor, maybe 20hp, with a front mount snowblower on it yesterday listed for $5000. It’s either sold or gone already. I would lean that way if you can find one. Some of the small subcompact CUTS are really useful and pretty reasonably priced, even now. And front mount snowblower is the way to go!!

    Ice Fishing

All packed and ready to go for the season, just waiting for safe ice nearby. I could drive up past Alex Bay, but that’s a bit too far right now. I usually go to Oneida Lake, Sodus Bay, and Chamount Bay.
  14. Of course. Hopefully knowing there is another option to screen will encourage people to have those conversations.
  15. For everyone worried about the usual practice of a colonoscopy there is now a home test. If you have had colon cancer in your family and don’t want a “full bore” test, this looks like a great option! https://www.nytimes.com/2021/01/11/health/colonoscopy-health-home-testing.html?surface=home-discovery-vi-prg&fellback=false&req_id=12272919&algo=identity&variant=no-exp&imp_id=204136861&action=click&module=Science Technology&pgtype=Homepage
  16. Yes, it will get a bunch of it out. Might be a good idea to do it in late April so the weeds won’t be too high and then the rye can overpower them all summer. The rye wont need much in the way of soil contact to grow. You can switch it over to clover in a year or two. Willing to give you a hand to try it!
  17. I have an ATV drag harrow if you want to give it a shot. I would kill the grass and let it get brown and dry in the hot summer. Then drag harrow the heck out of it and plant rye for the first couple of years. It will build the soil and grows very easily in even hard compacted soil.
  18. I was at Gander Outdoors in Cicero NY last week, Only had bird shot for ammo. NOTHING ELSE. Completely empty.
  19. I pass out bottles at GTG’s; if you come to one (someday) I’ll save one with your name on it.
  20. This is our homemade wine "Marywood 2018 Quattro Fratelli", Zinfandel. It drinks great right now and I think will be better after a year in the bottle. The 4 dudes in the are from a pic my Mother took in the 1950's in Sicily. The second from left is my Grandfather's half brother. Not sure what they were "hunting " for that day! 21. I always forget to take a pic prior to finishing the bottle. Went to a good friends liquor store and he picked out a few reds for me to try. All winners. Got a couple left and will post it up,. Along with our new bottle and label of homemade wine.
  22. Crappy - one word: Sabbatical. Write that book about the connections and sources of the English language and Western Elk Hunting.
  23. Never saw this deer on any cams all season. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  24. He's probably all packed up and sleeping off a cold night in front of a fire. I hope so anyways!
