That's OK...Better road anyway..That west lake road can be a pisser....Also more parking at the Switz...
-
In Penn Yan the " Top of the Lake" and the "Wagner" are 2 possibilities, plus there are possibly more...I have a personable niece with big tits who lives up that way and might have other suggestions for us...
-
Okay, Goosey....The Switz on the east side of Keuka and the waterfront on the west side of Keuka are both less than 20 miles from I 86 at Bath... Gives us 2 other options...

The place just north of Branchport where we had dinner with TC III a couple years ago might be cool... Valley Inn or something like that ?? Right in NY bowhunter's back yard......Nice laid back country place with good chow …..

I carry whenever I go east of Corning, and usually if I am going anywhere after dark... I also carry whenever I am traveling anywhere in the state other than Westchester/ NYC where I refuse to go anyway.....

Just me and perhaps a friend who hasn't committed yet.. My only plans are for crappie filets fried in bisquick batter....

I had it done once, with a tang Safety Ruger M77 in .338 Win mag that kicked the dogshit out of me... It did reduce the recoil a little, but not that much, and made it loud as hell... Once while I was working up loads at the range, I took a break and removed my earplugs.. When I took the next shot, I forgot the plugs and when the rifle went off I thought for a moment it had blown up...

Glad to hear you dodged the bullet.....One more small victory for Manhood....
-
X2..... I wouldn't dare shoot it......

You might better just SHOOT me and put me out of my misery than torture me slowly to death clothes shopping.... Going with The Mermaid makes it worse...Any time I do any kind of shopping with a woman, it takes four times as long and costs me twice as much...

I'm good with the dates....

Beautiful job !! I had the bobcat I got this year done by a local fellow, and did a super job too and FAST !!

I killed a few deer with a Contender in .35 Rem and .356 Win and an Encore in 7mm08...Killed a few more with a Rem XP 100 in .260 Rem....All shot well but I did all of my shooting lying flat on my belly with a bipod or resting over a hay bale, except for one close shot ( about 30 yards) when I rested against a tree trunk...My longest shot was about 230 yards with the XP 100 lying prone with a bipod....

As you say..the effectiveness depends on the operator..... With practice they will make realistic turkey sounds, and some of my buddies have used them with good effect over the years.. IMHO they are harder to master than a box call, but easier than a wingbone...When I first started turkey hunting ( back when Moby Dick was a minnow) some guys used a 35 MM film container with a piece of latex ( usually from a condom)...

Not only have I met these four members, but I also SHOT the moose in the picture in the background...

The Hemlock and/or Honeoye things are great ideas for warmer weather, but for Feb/March we need to be in out of the weather... A local legion Post is a possibility, albeit many other options are available... At The legion, booze is cheap and we could probably do it with a modest contribution rather than renting the hall.....Food could be arranged...

Count me in.....

Yeah, I have a good quick way of skinning and cleaning them, and for many years the only fish I did not filet were bullheads and small stream trout...Then my buddy Handsome Howie turned me on to filleting them, and I never looked back...Hehehe..
-
Don't forget your "bullhead jigs", Rob...Now that you know how easily they filet and how YUMMY the filets are...<<grin>>….

Nothing heavy duty for me.....This year I'm splitting a square on $100 board with a buddy ( shitty numbers 8-8) and so far I'm on 3 other $5 boards..Never got into to the heavy duty line betting or big time sports gambling... Heck, I can squander ENOUGH of my money just on bell jar tickets at the Legion...<<sigh>>….
