I gave them to people who didn't mind picking out the 1000 Y bones..I ate f ew myself myself, and they were very tasty, but I didn't like dealing with all the bones.. If I were to get some now, I would can them like I can northern pike...The canning process dissolves the bones and they make excellent fish patties..

Many years ago, back when Moby Dick was a minnow, there used to be a good spring sucker run in Tuscarora Creek, here in Dogpatch.. The bridge spanning the creek had streetlights ( fueled by whale oil) and you did not need a light...The creek was fairly shallow there and we'd stand just upstream of the bridge and spear the suckers in the light of the streetlights as they swam upstream...

My Muck Woody Max are absolutely the best pair of boots I have ever had...I wear them for everything, year round, from spring turkey hunting to deer hunting to ice fishing and daily use around the house and property...I've had them for five years and they are still watertight and keeping my feet warm, although they are definitely showing signs of wear... I don't know if the Mucks under new management will be as good as the old ones.... The farm supply store just down the street is selling it's remainder of Mucks and going to the Dryshod… I'll probably pick up a pair this spring and hope they are half as good as my old ones..

I'll bet they'd be great bait.....

It's really breaking my heart not being able to attend, due to the fact that my lovely bride and I have both contracted a nasty virus,, We are beginning to feel better ( me more so than her) but I cannot in clear conscience attend, just in case we are still contagious... I was looking so much forward to seeing my old friends and meeting some new ones, and I especially wanted y'all to meet The Mermaid...She is indeed a sweetheart.....Obviously since she puts up with the likes of ME on a daily basis...
