I caught the clap from watching a porno flick... At least that's what I told my wife... -
Who ships to NY online..?? After the unsafe act, I tried to order ammo and components online and nobody would ship to NY, at least not the ones I had ordered from previously, like Cabela's, Midway, Natchez and a couple of others that I don't recall right at the moment...

It has been years since I seriously hunted crows.... However, I have a few observations....For numbers I never utilized electronic calls..A good way to have WAY too many crows to handle at one time... It is much better to find a feeding area, set up a blind and let the decoys do most of the work, using mouth calls sparingly as necessary..This way you tend get them 2 to 4 at a time, so a couple of shooters can kill most of the crows coming in, without educating a whole bunch of them.. I never had many real crow decoys, perhaps half a dozen, but you can set up dead crows in the decoys to increase your spread...

Happy 39th, Jerry....If you had stopped by the legion I'd have bought you a drink....<<GRIN>>...

You will never regret it, My Friend....It adds a whole dimension to your hunting, working up good loads for your rifles and then taking game with them... Two of the three rifles that I use the most have never had a factory load fired through them...The third only had factory loads for barrel break in and brass accumulation...None of the three has ever been fired at a game animal with anything but my handloads... I'm not trying to brag or to say that that I could not do as well as with the excellent factory loads available today, but it does give me a sense of satisfaction killing game with handloads that I developed and loaded myself....
-
It is great that there is such a variety of factory loads available...I am a handloader myself, but if I were not I am sure I could find a good load for any of my rifles... As far as coyotes go, they don't care what you shoot them with....For bigger game bullet performance is a bit more important, but I suspect nearly any .308 factory load would also do a good job on deer....

Nice rig, Rob....I can't wait to break it in by singing a bawdy ballad in it....Hehehe....

Sorry for your loss, My Friend....

The outfit I booked the hunts through was called Butch Manasse Outdoor Adventures at the time...They are still in business but I think they have expanded considerably since then..I dealt with a guy named Wally, whom IIRC is no longer with us...However Butch himself, his wife and others are available to talk to, I believe... Pretty simple...Call or email and tell them what you would like to hunt and how much you can afford to pay...They will help you with drawing tags, give you directions ( they personally hunt most of the properties themselves) and generally help you through the process... Four of us flew to Casper, Wyoming and stayed in a motel...We booked a 3 day trespass fee hunt...We drove to the property ( thousands of acres) each morning and drove the ranch roads glassing for antelope....You don't need to be there at dawn, because antelope are daytime animals and are active all day.. We saw many hundreds of animals daily...They are very alert and sharp eyes. and many stalks did not produce a shot, but there were so many of them that all you had to do was drive around a bit and find some more animals...We rented 4WD pickups, which handled the terrain very nicely, except when it rains and the ranch roads turn to GUMBO, which makes them nearly impassible...However, an hour after the rain stops, the roads dry out and become navigable again...Great fun..I wish I could go every year...Probably if I quit spending so much money on booze, gambling and hookers I could, but a fellow needs SOMETHING to occupy his time between hunting seasons...

Pronghorn hunts are great fun and are relatively inexpensive...A guide really isn't required, but it's not a bad idea for your first trip, especially for help with judging heads...The difference between an average head and a good one is only a couple of inches.. I have had good with a Hunting Consultant..The last trip four of us paid a trespass fee for a 3 day hunt and all tagged really nice bucks.. I'll look up my info and get back to you

Who said it would stop me ?? Actually I think it's kind of cool... Reminds me of some of those Woodhull girls I used to hang around with... I remember the time Velma Fernbender asked me if I'd like to SHAVE her.... I'll never forget sitting in that old cast iron scalding tub out in her Daddy's hog barn, shaving her back....

I'd gladly snuggle up with any of them, except for maybe the STERN looking one in the last picture...I'd steer clear of her until she got rid of the knife...Really COOL single shot rifle, tho….
