  2. I CAN say I miss being able to sharpen blades and when ya dont get a pass through the bouncing Broadhead inside the deer causing more damage but I'm stuck on rage chisel tips, not trying to persuade you just putting out my 2 cents, I always shot muzzys before and then grim reapers didn't care for the reaper's didn't shoot very good, but the montecs I have heard very good reviews from friends and such, .

  5. iv lived with this swamp behind my house for 18 years and iv only ever seen 2 big bucks from my house, my buddy killed a 133" buck not even 300 yards behind my house this was before I was old enough to hunt alone and had permission to hunt here, I actually got this whole lease started because of those 2 big bucks 2 seasons ago that walked across the back field together, right after I posted this about a week ago now I waded into the swamp not super wet from the end I went in where the creek feeds in, waded in through all the cattails and swamp grass in maybe 6" of water crossed the creek and wadered to a dry spot that was all tore up eatin down and flat from beds, I stood there huming and hawing about hanging my camera there I no sooner looked up and see a deer standing there, about 80 yards away, I see its a buck Im thinkin no way I just got here and I see a buck, I crouched down and the buck screwed around for a while not giving me a good look at his antlers, I watched him for prolly 5 mins trying to get pictures with my phone with no success, he TURNS and walked RIGHT at me, I got 3 mins of video with my phone he walked 10 YARDS away, with still good month or more of growing me and my buddy whos no rookie to aging and scoreing big bucks, we argued 3-4 years old 18" wide hes a 9 point now crab claws on both sides with a 3rd brow tine, with time to grow still mass was hard to judge but he may push 120-130s. I found a tree ,perfect wind and trail already , I hung my camera right there to hopefully get better pics to show and examine im going to check itt tomorrow morning very very anxcious!!
  6. hunt food sources at night, in between bedding and food source in the morning, bucks don't have tail on there mind or fightin other bucks, they have food on the brain to stack up for winter and grow bone to fight with, goodluck!
  7. I have leased 410 acres with 4 buddies of mine for the second year in a row half of which resides right out my back door which is really nice but I can't see to be able to figure out how to hunt these swamp bucks 60 acres or so of it is thick dense swamp . IV tried sitting on the outside of the swamp and some on the inside where ya can but its super thick every where . Any one got suggestions how i can get my hands on one of these giants i see pre season and on camera ? Any help would be nice for this up coming season as i will be scouting some and hanging stands here in the next few months. Thanks. Adam
  8. No not kerpeck, I know Peterson he hunts with us, ed nelson, rob and mike nelson they live around there they have dogs we all hunt together.
  9. Numbers are definitely growing. Saw a ton of tracks in westmorland this year. Alot in sangerfield,Waterville,Madison areas also.
  10. 900$, I payed $1734.00 brand new 2 years ago only seen 2 turkey seasons and 2 coyote seasons, other then that its rarely been out,
  11. IV read that late season now toms are grouping back up with other toms, gobbles and male sounds like mock fights etc work best because alot of the toms are looking to flock back up for the summer and figure out the chain of command in the flock
  12. Had real good luck with my super Vinci killed my biggest Tom at 67 yards this year. But 2 years 3 turkeys and 13 coyotes later im gonna switch it up and sell the benelli and get a browning Maxus. Like to change guns and bows every few years. Selli it dirt cheap if any ones wants one.
  13. Any farmer that likes coyotes is illegal, they dump their calves and dead cows when there suppose to call Scooby to pick them up or bury them. We have permission for most of Oneida and Madison county to run our dogs on coyotes. One farmer even stated he doesn't want then, dead cuz they clean up his calves, and the other farmer is q crop farmer who believes they help save his cabbage by getting the rodents, only 2 farmers IV heard of liking them ,the statement that science proves it wont effect the population. How wouldn't it. Coyote are during so there's less until more are born, people who want to kill coyotes year round arnt looking to eradicate and make them a rare sight. I understand the part that they arnt prime all year but again no ones gonna hunt them specifically all year just if it was year round if the opportunity arose like during turkey hunting they wouldn't be breaking the law,and Genesee you may not have the yote population like every one else . We killed 83 coyotes in 4 months,18 of those were from the same 300 acre swamp, and once season closed we were still finding tracks and spotting them, our turkey populations are on the decline ask any turkey hunter around here.
  14. preety sure its all about fair breeding time, ya don't shoot does in may. don't shoots hens in may, don't shoot coyotes in may, hell we cant even run coyotes for training purposes with our dogs after april something, I donnt think it should be this way for coyotes but we kill 45-80 coyotes a year from December to end of march with our dogs running them, I think n may males should be abe to be shot, ya can usually tell a female frm a male, females will be fat, have pups around or wont stray to awfully far from the den with out the pups
  15. steel head at the river, hammered em Saturday. limted out by 10;00 catch and release till 2,
  16. Any one wants pictures or want info on it text 315-527-2870. Like I said dont wanna drive long distance or ship. Thanks Adam.
  17. Guns still forsake as of 3 o clock. Saturday after noon. I just wanna get the gun gone so I can go buy my new one. Sorry but I don't wanna get into shipping and all that.
  18. I carry, box call,3 mouth calls, slate, sandpaper, ton of chaulk, owl, crow, clippers, zip ties, bailing twine,4 decoys and stakes,3 pair of gloves,2 masks, 2 bottels of water, sunflower seeds, extra can of chew,6-8 shells ,plastic zip lock bag, pocketknife, and still have ton of room for more, I have the scent blocker thunder chicken vest. Unbelieveavle space and pockets in this vest, good luck this season can't wait to get out and bust one!
  19. i have a benelli super vinci semi auto shotgun.... 3 1/2 mag its in realtree apg camo. gun is 2 years old still goes bang every shot not in perfect condtion but no means was it beat. got a scatch or 2 in the camo. have full set of choke tubes with wrench, bottel of benelli gun lube and a hard case it breaks down into.. payed $1734 2 years ago price is $900 firm pick up only, may meet u half way or drive to u if ur close.. located in Waterville ,ny
  20. I say the fishers, fox and coon are playing a big role on turkey population decreasing. Not by killing turkeys persey. But alot of nests being found and eggs are eatin or babys being eatin. Fishers are decreasing the coon population as well. They climb trees and grab em they fall done deal. Turkey season has preety well sucked thr last 2-3 years. Before that there was toms every where. Now it seems there all bulked up to certain pieces of property. 6-8 there and not a single one 5 miles up the road.
  21. i feel its worth it to pluck, I love the crispy skin, kill em when there soakin wet from the rain they pluck real easy
  22. So a farmer sees a fox walking into his chicken coop.. He doesn't have a nuisence tag.. He lets it walk in. Get a free meal and go? I don't think so. If the coyotes chasin ur kid around in the back yard.. But ya don't gave a nusience tag.. Ya let em walk. I don't think so.. Now people on here are tracking this guy down... Really what's this world come to. Your lives must not be as exciting with out getting others in trouble for protecting his property from vermin. Can't wait till a coyote gets one of your little fluffy lap dogs and all of a sudden your attitude changes real quick. Trust me IV seen it time and time again. We kill 80+ coyotes a year. People complain we kill em and wont let us hunt there landm till fluffy ends up missing then its kill all the damn things.
  23. If you have permission from the land owner and have resonalble cause that it is a threat or nuisance you can shoot any game as long as it isn't deer or waterfowl. Out of season. It was chasing his cats as far as I'm concerned. Only good coyote is a dead one
  24. I like the Remington nitro's 3" and 3 1/2" ... 13$ a box of 10.. Knocks em down out there to 50 just like the super expensive hevishot. I'll never buy that stuff way over rated. One I would try is the Winchester extended range. IV personally seem birds take at 80 yards with it out of a 10 gauge. But I'm cheap and stick with remingtons but again it all adds up to no 2 shotguns shoot the same period.
