  1. Man this having to go to school at night stuff is killing me! This temp drop coming up would make for a great day in the woods. Won’t make it back out until Friday afternoon.
  2. He was pretty sore and upset last night. Took awhile to calm him down. Thankfully I had some bee sting stuff in my first aid kit that helped the pain. Can’t wait for some colder weather so the bees aren’t a problem anymore! But now I sit here contemplating how I’m gonna squeeze my ass through this tiny window haha
  3. So I didn’t mention it in my previous post but yesterday when my kids helped me set the blind up, my youngest was attacked by a ton of yellow jackets. He was stung at least 6 times in the face and back of his head. Being only 5 this was pretty traumatic for him so in my rush to get him back to the house yesterday and stuff to do last night I kinda forgot all about the bees nest that must be right outside the blind. Well, I remembered now! Sounds like there’s a thousand of the damned things buzzing around just outside behind me. Of course that’s the direction the door faces too. Gonna be interesting getting out. Might have to try and squeeze through one of these windows![emoji15]
  4. Even though I was late in doing so. Sure glad I got this blind put up late afternoon yesterday. It’s been pouring! Makes a nice quiet entry in though. 5 deer In the field right now. 3 does a fawn and a 4 pointer. Feels good to be out! Good luck all!
  5. Last min decision to drive up to buddy’s camp late last night. Out this afternoon overlooking a swamp bottom pinch point. Doing it Biz style from the ground too! Lots of tracks in the mud on my way in and deer moving just before dark on the cams everyday. Good luck to everyone out!
  6. Only way I’m getting out on the 1st is if I take the day off from work and it will only be for the AM hunt. I’m back in school for HVAC-R now, it’s only 3 days a week from 5p-9p but it’s gonna put a damper on afternoon hunts this year that’s for sure. I’m about to quit my current job and have a few weeks of vacation time to burn up so I’m looking to hold off and burn them up in early November. Will try to seal the deal on the days I don’t have class in the evenings but I can always miss a class or two if the weather and rut action is just right![emoji51]
  7. Lol true story. It’s rough but damn is it fun! Doctors love us! Lol
  8. No I managed a 4th place but still got enough points to take the championship for that summer. Was worth it then but not so much these days.
  9. Bummer! Here’s to a speedy recovery! Tell her to listen to the doc! I wasn’t that smart when I was her age and cut my cast off when I shattered my wrist in 14 places after it being on for only a week so I could race MX. It hurt so damn bad we had to tape my hand onto the throttle so I couldn’t let go. Now I’m paying for it 15 years later! I remembered I even had a pic of my old man cutting that damn cast off haha. It was end of season and I was right at the top of the class chasing the championship, we were ready to do anything to keep racing back then
  10. Haha I knew I was gonna get busted on for that. I’m up at camp for the weekend, wifey received from Fedex and sent me the pic. I’ve been busy staining the new shed all day! Lol
  11. Well here’s my result from Browning. Replacement cam came in the mail today. Very happy with their customer service!
  12. I see that ad a lot too. Reading the comments it looks like anything you order from that scam artist company doesn’t actually deliver you a damn thing.
  13. If I can get out of work early on sunday I was thinking of taking a walk around 4R on some stateland. Good luck to anyone going out! Sent from my Samsung Chromebook 3 using Tapatalk
  14. Haha I hear that. They have some intense brawls haha. But a few mins later they are inseparable and the youngest wants to do everything his big brother does.
  15. I’m right there with ya buddy. My youngest started kindergarten today and my oldest is going into 1st grade. It was pretty awesome seeing my oldest help guide his little brother onto the school bus this morning. I always wanted a brother growing up, so it makes me very happy to see my boys will always have each other and that my oldest is good to his little brother and will help him through school.
  16. I wish I still had the screen shot I took of the weirdest craigslist ad I stumbled across. It was like a month or so ago. I get bored at work and just start clicking on random stuff on Craigslist and found a ad for a “professional male model” looking for a private back yard to sun bathe nude and would pay $150 a day. I swear to god I’m not making this up!! He posted that he was looking for some place in the cohoes area. A guy I work with lives in cohoes and for the fun of it he messaged him. Never got a response that I know of, unless my coworker is keeping his new found golden goose a secret from us all and that could explain all his recent “gambling winnings” lmao!
  17. Thought so. Thanks. I’m gonna set a reminder on my phone for the 9th.
  18. I’ll throw my name in for the hell of it. Am I reading the article correctly in that they aren’t taking names until the 9th? So sending a email today would be a waste of time?
  19. Are there giants there or what?
  20. Well moose killer won! Best season of the show by far! I was really impressed with the contestants this year. Especially the women, the one who was 2nd to last one out was a trooper and had some awesome skills.
  21. Well I got a return email this morning from Browning customer service. I like the quick response! Anyways, lady sent me a return product form and says they are going to “get things taken care of”. Sounds like a replacement camera will be on the way? Either way I’m very happy with how they are handling it so far! Going to stop at the post office tomorrow after work and get it sent out.
  22. Yes they are reliable. They’ve had decades to make them that way as the wrangler model has been around for a long time. If they weren’t reliable I’d seriously question what the hell they were doing over there at Jeep. But mostly they are good winter vehicles, and being that we get way more snow up here and have to drive longer distances between work, home and play, they tend to be very popular.
  23. Come up towards Albany. Every dealer up here has at least 30-50 new ones on the lot at any given time. Everyone and their mother has a wrangler around here.
  24. I obviously don’t know exactly what options your looking for and such, but I do know that these days you really can’t get certain options without a bunch of others you don’t want. Gone are the days where you could build a vehicle with only the exact options you want. To save time and money manufacturers lump a certain amount of options together, so the sales guy might be 100% correct. Again, Idk what exactly you want but there’s a more than good chance he’s correct.
