  1. There’s a dealer in westerlo, Town Line Motorsports that sells them. From what I can tell it looks like he’s moving a decent amount of them. Don’t have any personal experience but from what I’ve seen, they are gaining in popularity the last few years. I might be considering one myself in a few years for my kids when they get a little bigger and need something like a 400.
  2. That’s good because my neighbor works for the sewage plant down in the Albany port and tells me all the time about the millions of gallons of raw sewage they dump into the river.
  3. Work took us on one of those dinner cruises. A bunch of us stood on the bow and counted condoms floating in the river. We gave up once we broke 100. Lol
  4. Not everyone can put their feelings aside to do what needs doing. Just like some can’t stomach gutting a deer even though they have no problem shooting it. Lol ya my reason is I don’t have unlimited funds in my account to take a sabbatical to the border to be a wolf among sheep. Taking care of my family is my primary concern. Not to mention no federal authority has authorized lethal force by private citizens. In another universe, if the president said we needed someone to pull the trigger, I could put emotions aside and pull that trigger.
  5. The ultimate way of stopping border hoppers is to give the green light to shoot to kill anyone and everything headed across the border. Stop playing games, start dropping bodies and you’ll see these invaders think twice. Half don’t care if they get caught, three hots and a cot in one of our jails is most likely 300 times nicer than anything they grew up in. Time to play hard ball.
  6. I’m ready to just say dump the government. Let’s go back to the Stone Age. Everyone for themselves. Survival of the fittest. Good luck to all, let the ultimate purge begin....
  7. Saw a FB post on this a few mins ago. Of the 74 comments, 73 of them were saying how out of their minds they are for asking that much money. Seems like the popular opinion is major corporate greed here. During a time when hunter numbers are declining and there’s such a push on getting new hunters started, companies like this making products unobtainable for the regular joe is doing our beloved sport no favors at all.
  8. I understand it’s cool and fast, but idk about $2500 worth of cool. I kinda thought most of the archery crowd was against long range shots anyways, so the hype with these new fancy crossbows confuses me.
  9. Now weed makes you aggressive? Come on man you can’t be serious?????
  10. Your views are clearly imbedded and generated somewhere between 1920 and 1960. Your decades if not centuries late to the fight against deviant behavior. I understand where your coming from, but your basing your opinions on what your grandparents thought about weed. They didn’t understand pot back then, and the older generation clearly still doesn’t. The science and technology used to determine weeds affects 100 years ago shouldn’t hold a candle to what we can verify by today’s standards. Weed and booze are only a problem for society if you abuse either one. No one ever said abusing anything was a good thing. Drinking too much water can be harmful, so can a million other things. Why do the idiots who free willingly choose to harm themselves get all the lime light? I’ll agree to a extent that the government does and will appease to the masses to keep order. But that’s their job. The government doesn’t own us, nor should they be the ones to dictate the values and morals inside our own homes. Just like they shouldn’t be the ones telling me I can’t smoke a flower grown from Mother Earth. If you’d like a more controlling government, I hear Russia or even China is nice this time of year...... As far as promoting it with my kids, I think your taking it to the extreme. Alcohol has been legal for all of our lifetimes, did anyone’s parents here promote them getting smashed on their 10th birthdays? I think not. When my kids are in their teens I will have multiple discussions with them about weed, alcohol and anything else they want to know about. I won’t shelter my boys from the reality of life, but I also won’t instill misguided fear into their heads. And ya honestly I think I’d rather my boys smoke a little grass now and then compared to the level of drinking I was able to do as a teen and into college. The dangerous things I did while drunk all those years ago are a funny memory now, but I’d bet my life almost none of it would have ever happened if I had stuck to smoking weed instead of drinking. You’ve got a trillion times better chance of passing out on the couch with a bag of Cheetos on weed rather than a drunk who’s ready to party harder after a 6 pack. I really think the people who are so afraid of weed should try it. So they can see first hand it’s not this crazy drug that makes you lose your mind. Hell even my father in law says he wants to try it once it’s legal and He runs a multi million dollar business. 8 years ago I can clearly remember him ragging on his nephews and nieces that smoked. Times change and so does the perception of things, especially when the TRUTH about things finally come to light.
  11. If money is not a factor, I’d say go for it! Can never have too much land to hunt! More acreage will give you more options on how you use it. At the very least it will give you a buffer zone around your property to anyone else hunting nearby.
  12. Most college grads are doing exactly what they should be doing based on their work ethic and desire, nothing to do with smoking weed. And actually, pot doesn’t kill brain cells. This is the misinformation people like you spew in order to distract from the facts and keep everyone thinking its 1955 still. Lab test after lab test and still no one has proven that weed legit kills your brain cells or any other cell in your body like alcohol does. Alcohol is a legit poison, nothing like weed. I think your so far off base your not even aware you left the ball field. If “peer reviewed research” could prove such negative effects, no way in hell would it be legal anywhere, nor would almost every state in the union be preparing for its legalization. Your lumping the responsible users into one generalization. That’s no different than saying anyone who touches alcohol is nothing but a good for nothing drunk who is incapable of achieving anything other than liver failure. I respect your right to your own opinions, but your living decades in the past and basing your opinions off fearmongering missinformation that my parents and grandparents generations dreamed up to keep weed illegal.
  13. So now smoking a little weed retards the ability to succeed?? That’s a load of horse manure. How is it that most college students spend 4 years partying yet can graduate and go on to successful lives and are labeled as “successful” because they got a college degree. Yet they probably did enough drugs in their tenure that could down an elephant. Not everyone can be the CEO or whatever, so what’s your definition of successful? Your success in life has nothing to do with smoking weed, just like it doesn’t have anything to do with knocking back a bunch of cold ones at a bbq with your buddies on the weekend. If you want to be president, a couple joints a week sure as hell isn’t the reason your not.
  14. Albany county is already well on its way of expunging past weed offenses in anticipation of weed becoming legal here. That’s how I know it’s already a done deal. If Albany county DA is no longer going to prosecute under 2oz and toss current and past cases, in my eyes that’s blatant proof it’s gonna happen soon. Here’s a article with more details. https://www.troyrecord.com/news/albany-county-d-a-soares-changes-policy-in-marijuana-prosecutions/article_07c77410-e9ba-11e8-abe4-ab37aba92155.html
  15. I wipe my bow down with a lightly oiled rag with your regular gun oil. I mostly just rub a little oil on everything metal, especially sight and rest bolts. The rest just gets a little wipe down to clean up any mud splatter I pick up from walking. Wax the string heavily and pack it away in my bow case until spring.
  16. After reading all the comments from the anti pot guys I just had to comment. Have any of you smoked weed before? The way some of you guys talk about it, you’d think we were talking about LSD here. I’d bet most of you have closet stoners hidden all throughout your families and you don’t even know it. That’s because it’s not such a big deal. Weed doesn’t make you trip balls for hours on end. It levels you out, calms you down for a hour maybe two and then wears off. So many professional people use weed on a daily basis and most people have no clue.
  17. So how are they going to know who’s growing at home? Part of the legalization is to allow people to grow 6 plants at home as long as they own not rent. The government has no way of being 100% sure who smokes pot and they never will.
  18. This is why I always loved my apple products. Got away from windows years ago for these reasons. That and I couldn’t get a windows computer to run good for more than a year or so. If the battery in my 2007 MacBook hadn’t blown up I’d still be using that sucker
  19. In laws got me a nice new camo outfit. Nomad cottonwood series and some other small stuff like a few shirts and such. The nomad suit looks and feels nice, can’t wait to test it out next season. Wifey and kids got me a new Coleman propane camp stove and 2 propane lanterns for camping. And a couple gift cards to bass pro and gander. Aunt and uncle hooked me up with a couple years of NRA membership also. Had a bunch of beer and good food with my family and everyone was happy, kids especially with all the gifts they got. It was a good Christmas all around!
  20. You and I both got surprised with meat today! I got a voicemail from the butcher I had cut up my buck a month ago. He said he screwed up and missed a whole case of meat that’s mine. I’ll swing by tomorrow morning and pick it up.
  21. Coming up on 3 years on my brute force 750s battery. Still cranks over fine. Hoping it makes it through the winter at least. My buddy just put a lithium ion battery on his sportsman 1000. It was like $200 but they are supposed to be much better than the standard acid style. I’ll see how it does on his wheeler before I try one for mine.
  22. I’ve heard about this before. I think there were/are lawsuits going on over it. Glad you made it out alright. I bet it was a pucker moment for sure! I’ve got 162k on my 2011 F150 now. *knocks on wood* no transmission issues as of yet. It shifts a little stiff from 2nd to 3rd when cold but it’s done that since new.
  23. 2 dogs and with added rice it’s enough for two feedings a day. Without the rice it’s enough for one feeding. They got some dry regular dog food for dinner tonight as I ration them to 1lb of venison per day. My one dog is a light eater, my chocolate lab gets a larger portion.
  24. Ran out of rice this morning. So they were a bit less spoiled today. Other than missing the rice this is what I feed my furry friends. They can’t get enough of it
