  1. Hoping to be in a tree by 2:00 in 3S-trying a different parcel of management property today(muscoot for you local 3s hunters). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Rattling and grunting passing bucks who are out of range to get them closer. - I too have done that. Often with a bow though they come in SUPER leery and hang up in thick stuff over looking the area where the bucks should be. I am not saying it doesn’t happen but I can’t seem to get them to “come in on a string” as some describe Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Cahoots??? Should I plant that? I never knew that’s where they hide! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I have never heard any grunts or bleats - have been blown at a bunch with bad wind. My question is what’s your calling cadence? Do you mix grunts and bleats? Long? Short? How long does your sequence last? Do you “blind call?” I’ve had minimal success with any and all of the above- probably call too much out of frustration or boredom Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Just be sure you announce to the woods that you are hunting deer. Only when I am hunting deer do I see droves of squirrels. When hunting squirrel, I only see deer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Look up the Great Swamp in Patterson (I think)- pretty good amount of cover I recall from when I would hunt released pheasant. Only a few parking spots but a lot of land to cover. Cranberry Mountain is another public area that gets stocked with birds and I remember kicking some bunnies there too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Or deer?!? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I/Me (???) happen to have unfettered access to parcels of bunny heaven in Dutchess. However, the gross misuse of a pronoun prohibits me/I (???) from sharing my/me(???) bounty! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Clearly they weren’t from deer who frequent the area- at least I now have an explanation [emoji90][emoji90][emoji90] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. So at 4:45 I hear some rustle in bushes 55 yards away. It must be a deer so I “lobbed one in there.” I’m dead on from 25 so I just doubled my aim point. Something ran out of there but it was really thick so I chalked it up as a lost arrow and clean miss...oh well!!!! I AM KIDDING OF COURSE! No deer seen in the evening hunt. Sorry for distracting the Live thread- now back to your ramrod that are too short and your moist misfiring wads! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Sundown 4:28... magic HOUR is upon me!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Come on man...you didn’t think I was serious did you? I’m not sure I have a single post on here without some drip of sarcasm. Movie quote: “ maybe it’s time to point that high powered lens at yourself!” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. But seriously I hear the good crunch crunch of heavy steps behind me,,,slowly turn around and see the source- a turned around numbnut hiker! Crappy part of this program is that the lands are used by the public as well. Hopefully he kicks something my way Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Really!!!! soon we will start talking about chest girth weights, Bigfoot’s and killer dogs- imagine if THOSE topics were ever discussed?!? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Hey have some respect... some of us are still trying to hunt here! Left morning spot and wandered back towards where I took a spike a few weeks ago- oodles of fresh dumps. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Which Baffin did you end up with? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. If only people would report their takes in the off season..DEC would really benefit from having accurate numbers! Cheers! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. This just turned into the “Live from the beer threads after party” you boys hitting the sauce a bit early today?!? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Ugggg!!! Two doe just came FLYING down the mountain to my left- passed me at 30 yards- couldn’t get either to slow down let alone stop. Whatever made them sprint like that has not shown itself.....yet! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. A bit breezier than I hoped in 3S so I made the climb to an area protected from the wind hoping a pod of does will look to lay low. Pretty good sunrise this morning Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Little help??? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Shame on you..calling a Miller product a cheap beer is like disrespecting a young male deer with the term “scrub buck.” Have you no respect? Miller Lives Matter! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Gentlemen...now you are speaking MY language. Please do not disregard the High Life as an option-it is not only the champagne of beer, but my favorite “any time” (preferably mid-day waterside and beach chair ) beer. All these aristocratic intellectual expert beer aficionados are making me feel inadequate...I simply like beer! Real beer! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Feeling a bit under the weather. Dr prescribed an elevation change of about 25’ and cool moist air for 8 hours. Hoping to let one fly in 3s tomorrow- last chance for the current boots before the Baffins are purchased (hopefully on a post Christmas clearance rack!) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
