  1. Surprised... I thought there would be more response. If I had that I think I would incorporate the picture in the mount Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I never hunted them but I believe the DEC has watershed property open that’s public. You need to register for a free car tag and license to be on the watershed property. I’m in a management program that Biz mentioned but that application come out in the spring or so Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Damn WNY...at first glance I read “My MIL [mother in law]is way more sexy...” didn’t know where that was going!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Nice! Got it done fairly quickly considering the initial thoughts about guts and liver. Where was that first shot? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Jala’s post in the Live thread inspired this question: Has anyone incorporated their trail cams pics of harvested deer with the mounts? If so, it may be cool to see some of those. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. That’s a wall hanger- I mean the picture itself! What a shot! That is why I hunt in the snow - what a view- good luck hanging him too Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Kind of looks like something my kid puked up on the side of 95 on the drive home. Glad to be back in NY-can’t stomach that Mass water or food!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Thanks guys...I don’t love the look of the kenetrek northern. Leaning towards the baffins crossfire Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. No that was Saturday morning in 3s before I made the drive to Hingham-did spot 2 bucks and three doe all together last night around the corner from the in laws though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Been there...good beer - $hitty food...problem is my favorite beer is high life so food is more important and no high life available Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Full disclosure: my sister in law swears by them BUT she is NOT a hunter. Anyone hunt in Sorel Boots or are the just some hype boot for uppity suburban outdoorsman”??? They ain’t cheap but after today I need something better than what I got (frostbite after 45 min in 25 degree temps) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Here was my view this morning- couldn’t get site to work all day Saw tracks, climbed quiet, saw $hit!!!! Home by 11...sat with my daughter at an audition for a lead part in “the little mermaid” (send prayers!) and drive to Hingham, MA. $hitty “Italian” for dinner ($12 knob creek-WTF?!?) gearing up for the Yankees/Giant ribbing from the cousins tomorrow at the Mrs Family Christmas....I smell a sick day for next week! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Damn Doc..ye of little faith!! Hope to show you something tomorrow after a morning sit before heading to the outlaws in Boston for their family Christmas festivities. (Aka weekend of ridicule about the Giants & Yankees from Red Sox and Patriot fanatics) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. First deer I ever shot with a bow was Dec 23rd 2012 wearing my full heavy jumpsuit. Dropped her pretty good in the suit all bundled up. Maybe I should wear that crap all season as I missed more deer in my light gear Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Interesting- I always cook straps (usually on grill or caste iron pan and finished in the oven) whole and slice after cooking so not to over cook them Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I don’t think I would use a roast for this. I’ve made many of wellingntons with backstraps though- the tough stuff of a leg roast won’t break down enough IMO Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. My “crappyice” name came from the ice shanty forum. There was this one regular on the hard water who confessed to me that He would “follow” my holes based on the amount of tobacco spit he would find after I fished. A lot of splat=good bite! Few splat=move on! Post nothing and enjoy the solitude. From now on I ice fish with a spitter handy! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. The mere hint of a shed antler awakens Wooly!!!! Good to hear from you again. Your season is getting close! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Where about in 3S PT....subtle reminder that Biz already claimed all the really good bucks in Yorktown!?!? Be aware of BMWs stuck in snow banks!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I come here to this forum to escape my real life of Middle School drama...and yet here it is - MS drama at its best except. Quick someone talk about crossbow inclusion to kill baby bucks and Sasquatch Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Just about...I use Paula Deen’s recipe-NEVER use a recipe for Fried Chicken from a skinny chef! https://www.google.com/amp/www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/paula-deen/southern-fried-chicken-recipe-1940880.amp Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I’ll be out when I can until 12/31 in 3s...doubt I have time this week and heading the Boston the following weekend for Christmas with the out..umm...in-laws. Time is flying! I NEED A SNOW DAY (teachers’ favorite day!) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Which do I like better, Friday or FRY-day! Thighs bathed in Franks and eggs wash...simple flour with salt and pepper for crust and waffle fries Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Haha...not a huge gun fan to be honest- hunted gun (shotgun at that) only three sits this year- after hunting and harvesting with a bow and the close encounters required, gun just doesn’t do it for me...bow season ends for me 12/31—plenty of hunts left I HOPE Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
