  1. Love waking up and seeing a new Luna story-that sounded like a relatively easy find(obviously I know nothing of the terrain or details of the circumstance so what do I know) It did get me wondering if you ever responded to a call that was “too easy?” That would frustrate the hell out of me to drive for however long and find the deer laying at the end of blood trail that a dumb/lazy/entitled hunter(not sure the personality to input for this fictional hunter). 2. Good luck today-living vicariously through you all as I need to decorate moms apartment and make house today. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. No shots this am in Columbia county- saw 4 doe in varying locations out of town Angela for the 12 gauge. Snow started around 11 - decided for comfort over the all day sit so will heard back out at 2:00 to freshly fallen snow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Probably something like this https://www.outdoorlife.com/sites/outdoorlife.com/files/styles/1000_1x_/public/import/2014/import/Image/2009/photo/7/Jessica.jpg?itok=yE4eb3Va Git er done! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Mice-good one- they are doing a hell of a job picking that thing clean and not big enough to move the entire piece- just don’t tell my wife Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. They now have these stretchy book socks things because folding and taping paper is way too challenging - not sure if that’s for the parents or the kids but too challenging nonetheless. Book socks are also recyclable and can be reused every year (but they are not!) so that’s great for the planet (as they dump thousands of plastic bottles in thrash because tap water is yucky?) Please don’t post school-related items on a Friday- after a week of MS kids I sound like I hate all things kids. Ask me this question after a full day sit tomorrow and I may not be so cynical Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Buzzards? I live ia “city” in Westchester. I have chipmunks and squirrels as regular residents in the backyard. This year I’ve relocated a woodchuck(1st one ever in 15 years here), skunks, possum and raccoon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Hock- is that buck trapped under a frozen lake or something? I will take your word for it that that’s a brute, but damn man, don’t tease me with a blurry(possibly sideways???) pic! Knock him down (or up-can’t tell!!!) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. So last Saturday I shot a spike, brought it home, skinned, quartered, and put in the deer fridge to relax for a few days. Was kind of pissed that it was a spike so I decided I would book and “euro” mount it. Sawed off the rope of the head and rough skinned the skull. I never touched the eyeballs and brains and figured I’d get back to that the next day. 6 days later I said, “ooops! I forgot about that skull - let’s see what’s doing” Here’s what I found Brains- gone. Eyeballs - gone. Now I get that animals are probably picking at(I live in Westchester) it but I just left the skull on my wood pile- never got knocked off or dragged away. What surgeons of the wild are that capable to peck the flesh away and not move the skull? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Funny since an old Italian taught me about it- I never make it for a meal actually. Only for hunting sandwiches Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. You got it. I use caste iron with oil and butter. Stir the eggs in well for the first few minutes until eggs start setting up- cover pan drop the heat a bit. HARD PART-i flip the entire “pie” and cook the other side too-use a larger plate than the pan and flip it quickly- should slide slide right out. Shimmy it “raw” side down back in the pan and finish cooking. OR cook first side and finish in the oven (make sure your pan can go in the oven!) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Not for dinner but for an all-day sit on Saturday for my partner and me- potatoes, onions and eggs(bakers dozen!)- drizzle of white truffle oil and a sprinkle of pecorino Romano - slap that on some crusty bread with some Franks or hot cherry peppers and it’s good for breakfast lunch and dinner! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. You were perfectly clear - I was being an A$$, forgetting that hunters’ sense of humor turns off around topics of baiting, ARs, crossbow inclusion.....and Growie Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Live from the Poetry Platform- making my kids read Frost because he at least mentions the woods! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  17. I found this video which is grainy but sufficient- still interested in hearing from others who actually have done this though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. How do we feel about eating steaks from a deer with a black oozing head? Not sure I could trust it (or any processor sayin have at it) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Wait!!! Who missed the AKC Best in Show sperm contributions from grow’s puppy? That’s amazing...not quite as amazing as the life growie has lived (I do mean that with the utmost sincerity). I’m exhausted! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I’m not even sure that would satisfy the DEC...thought I read somewhere that even areas that WERE KNOWINGLY baited and were cleaned up couldn’t be hunted for some time—-could be wrong Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Any luck TF...if things go according to plan I may have some paws to play with on Saturday! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Would anyone else watch a new reality show with Wolc and TwoSeventy? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Renamed- “Live from the Wolc Wormhole”....things are bleak! Throw a Bigfoot sighting in here and this thread I totally banged! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Recipe please...my venison meatballs never are very good-not sure if it’s because I am trying to recreate and expecting the traditional “meatball with spaghetti” meatball and it’s not possible with venison... curious what you do Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Based on this chart, I met a couple of late night laddies who would give me 153lbs of “usable meat.” In actuality they only gave me a few minutes (okay...okay seconds!) of entertainment. None of this is true of course but it is related to wolc Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
