  1. I don't completely disagree with you here, but when I hear pro-gun people telling me that NO, the easy availability of guns can't in any way be blamed for gun violence in this country, I don't think they have much of a leg to stand on when they point their fingers at other things like, TV, movies and video games. Why blame one and not think the other might not play even a small part?? Heck a TV, or ipad won't get up and murder someone all by itself right? Like they say about guns? They are talking from two sides of their mouths and NO one is buying it I'm afraid.
  2. So the world would have been for the better if the Roman Empire was still ruling much of the world?? You guys are funny!!!
  3. Sorry to have to say it, but there are PLENTY of gun owning bufoons out there that make us look bad. I have been seeing them for YEARS now! The guy on Morgan's show just gives even more credibility to the stereotype. All we need to do is read some of the crap written on this forum (and others) for even more examples of how stupid many of us are. I have said it from the moment I heard about this last school shooting that this incident would be the tipping point. The media, the non-gun owning public, and even MANY gun owners feel that something needs to change. The extremist view will go nowhere. Will only give more energy to the other side that something definitely needs to be done this time out. So there you have it. All the "never give an inch" mindset has done is give the rest of society even more reason to stomp us off the green earth. Simply owning a .22 rifle for plinking let alone being a proud NRA member right now gives someone as much social status as a child molester or rapist it seems. I can't say that I didn't see this coming, but of course no one will listen to what I say. I will even be accused of sleeping with the enemy when I do say it. So be it. Many of you guys made your beds, so now you need to sleep in them. Unfortunately, we others who are more sensible about things have to suffer this stigma as well because of you. So thanks a lot for that, fellas!
  4. So now you guys got me to google for pics of the silver snipe model. None that I was able to find have as good engraving on the receiver as on mine, however. Well anyway, maybe when it's my turn to go to the happy hunting grounds I may hand it down to one of you guys if you are nice. LOL A few here sure as hell won't get it, though. You are free to PM me to see if you are eligible or not. LOL
  5. Honestly don't know. The barrels are a rather short 26" or so, so maybe that can give you a clue?
  6. Well, here's one I inherited from my uncle. A Beretta 12 gauge O/U made somewhere in the late 50's, early 60's I guess. Figured it's the fanciest gun I've got, so I took a glamour shot of it. LOL
  7. Merry Christmas to you too, Grow!! can me and Doe lead everyone to sing some Christmas Carol's here??
  8. Doc, I hope you noted that I was the first on this thread to actually recommend the Ruger American. Now, if I could only convince you of a few other things??? LOL
  9. OK, so it's 90% for a 4x4-6x6. Even that sounds too good to be true for an elk hunt. I don't think an elk hunt ANYWHERE is close to such a slam dunk on any sized elk. Most especially for $5K which is not a lot of money for a guided big game hunt these days. Heck, people spend as much for deer hunts. Anyway, I have no interest in seeing whether this guides claims are true or not, but buyer should beware in my opinion.
  10. I'd be highly suspicious of anyone claiming 90% success rates on 6X6 elk, most especially in a heavily hunted state like Colorado.
  11. I must have missed that. They had labeled this a news conference so that is what I thought it would include.
  12. Don't news conferences have question and answer sessions? Didn't see any of that here. Yes, he had some good points, but I also agree that what he said will not go far. As we have seen on this site, even many gun owners think many laws need to be improved. He didn't say a damned thing about any change or improvement in gun laws. Not that I expected that he would. That would have surely been a revelation from the NRA if he had. So, he said pretty much what I expected him to say. Did very little to show the NRA in even a slightly different light to the general public in my opinion.
  13. No, no razzberry for you. A full and complete mooning is a bit more appropriate!
  14. Oh please. Then you fellas wonder why the rest of society wants to take away your guns and thinks all of us are looneys?? My goodness. A psychologist would need only 2 minutes with many of you, and then he'd put a nice big fat X on the box that says "Applicant is a looneybird, do NOT allow to purchase or possess a firearm". LOL
  15. Are you guys for real or what?? Sure don't look like an AR to me in that video. Tell me, how do you guys come up with this stuff? I tell you, some of you better pray every night that mental evaluations are NEVER required to purchase a gun, because a good many of you wouldn't be allowed to own a sharp pencil never mind a gun. Unbelievable.
  16. I call things the way I see them, so if you don't like it, too bad. We are all free to leave if we don't like it here.
  17. Yeah, Doc's the man. He can give us a 3000 word report on the matter.
  18. Anything is possible...hell, be they big or small at least I have parts that belong on a guy...you on the other hand??...sort of like an interchangeable gun barrel I guess...well anyway, as long as Mr. B don't mind them all is good. LOL
  19. The jury is still out on whether balls are there or not. LOL
  20. I don't think new gun purchasers all need to have mental evaluations. Not like people can't be sane one day and then go nuts down the road somewhere. What SHOULD happen is that anyone already evaluated by doctors to have some mental issues that could be deemed hazardous should be put on a list that would be hooked up with NICS checks. If these people come in to buy a gun, they would not pass the NICS check. Real simple actually. Nothing is foolproof of course, but to do NOTHING will not work.
  21. Yes I do. Unfortunately Bubba has now left this site.
  22. I'd love that actually. It would be the perfect excuse not to waste my time on this site anymore! LOL
  23. Honestly, some of you simply CANNOT see passed a gun barrel. Sorry I have to tell you but that pretty much sums it up with all the nonsense putting blame on everything under the sun, but NEVER a gun. It will be up to you and NOT me to convince society that you aren't the same type of nutjobs that these mass killing shooters were. Good luck to you all!
  24. Yes, EVERY life is precious. Too bad you fellas don't give a damn about life. All you guys care about is that your lives are protected with those pistols strapped to your belts, while you could care less what happens to people who don't feel we should live in a society where everyone needs to be armed at all times, including teachers and school children. Screwed up world we live in, that's for damned sure.
  25. So what DID Doc say??LOL He's so long winded I must have missed it. As I've said before, I call things the way I see them. Don't give a damn if the rest of you can't visualize how a gun CAN make it easier for some idiot to wreck havoc in comparison to other means.
