  1. You are replacing all 4 tires on a 2019 vehicle?? Did you get a second opinion on repairing that tire? These guys want to sell tires, so they will tell you it can't be fixed even if it CAN be fixed.
  2. I think anything from Leupold, Nikon, Vortex and a few others will do just fine. Sure, the more expensive stuff will give you a clearer picture, etc., but the cheaper stuff will work too.
  3. Meat. I will shoot the first deer that comes within range and I have a tag for. No matter if it's a doe, fawn, BB, spike or 12 pointer. I will not be waiting around and passing up deer just to get useless bone.

She's had serious health issues in recent years, do you think a cold blooded bastard like him is the type that would have any real compassion? She will be better off without that idiot.
  5. I'd give it to you instead. Bon appetit!
  6. If it's that easy where you hunt, then you should consider yourself VERY lucky because I can assure you it's not like that for the majority of hunters in the Catskills.
  7. This thread has just proved what I always suspected. That a lot of you guys are full of shit.
  8. Some people eat mountain lions out west and rave how good the meat is. NO way would I ever want to even try it. At least a bear is an omnivore and will eat berries and other stuff along with meat, but a mountain lion is a pure carnivore which I couldn't get my head around while trying to eat the meat.
  9. I hear that often, but in my opinion that is easier said than done. Maybe in areas where deer populations are high it can be done more easily, but there are other areas like the Catskills where doe permits are scarce and the deer populations not high enough where one will see deer daily to be confident that they will kill that doe with a bow. There's nothing like having a DMP in your pocket to use during gun season where the chances will be best to fill the tag. Trying to get a doe during muzzleloader season is far from a sure thing, too. You've got one week to do it and may have to compete with the worst weather of all the seasons.
  10. Moog, Wolc is coming over with the PA girth chart to measure those biceps!! Damn, I think you could probably throw a moose into the back of a pickup, never mind a piddly little deer.
  11. Maybe the stags in this movie are what the PA Game commission used to come up with the girth chart??
  12. Here's some more fake scenery from "Pennsylvania". Notice that in most of the scene DeNiro is taking aim left handed with a left handed rifle with the bolt handle on the left side. At about 3:13 he is aiming right handed with a right handed rifle. LOL
  13. The scenery in this clip surely doesn't look like any I've ever seen in Pennsylvania. The lack of attention to what the deer and terrain look like in the state the events were supposed to happen is quite striking for a movie that got such high acclaim.
  14. Give them a few years until they have a kid or two. She will then put the sign over their bed and cross out the word "taxidermy" and replace it with the word "me". LOL
  15. Good sized float, Burt, but nothing can beat Bubba's anti Safe-Act float he talked about a few years back. Molon Labe
  16. Maybe the sign is for him? He might be so proud of his trophies that he has the urge to caress them every day.
  17. LOL. I offered Biz $40 for his bow at the end of last season. Could have given him $80 if I saw pictures of him actually killing something with it! LOL
  18. I don't get a chance to take my go to rifle hunting as much as I would want, but I'd really like to kill a deer with my Mosin one day. It would definitely do the job if I did my part.
  19. Is that a Mosin Nagant rifle on top of those bucks?
  20. I bought this from forum member Billdogge a few months ago. Looks and shoots great. Whether it will be a "Killer Bow" is yet to be determined. That will be up to the bozo who will be hunting with it. LOL
  21. Turkeyfeather seems like a really nice guy and good candidate for moderator, but you'd get nothing for making him a moderator. The McNuggets are only if people receive the goods they paid for. And just to be clear the box of 10 McNuggets are to be shared by all the moderators on this site if the goods get sent out. Not like you'd each get a box of 10.
  22. Maybe if the folks get the goods they paid for. Until then all the moderators will get are these.
  23. The hunting shows definitely have a way of swaying our minds, that's for darned sure. Heck, I'd even say that hunting shows are probably the main reason that planting food plots has become common place. Years ago before cable/satellite TV and the endless stream of hunting shows food plots were unheard of. Hunters just went out, planted their butts under a tree and hoped that a deer would stroll by. Hardly anyone did the preparation that many do these days in anticipation of hunting season. Firing their rifle the day before hunting season to see if it's still in zero is about the most they did! LOL
  24. I'll let FSW answer you for me on that one. LOL
  25. Deer will surely eat what they could find whether planted by man or nature. The difference to me at least is that the food plot is specifically planted for deer while other things are not. I don't know if that feeder going off will automatically bring them in. I don't think either method is a slam dunk, but both will at least keep the deer in the vicinity.
