  1. Glad you didn't take offense. I've heard the argument that food plots help feed the deer thru winters and such, but I think an equally good argument could be made that deer should be left to fend for themselves like nature intended. If we feed them can we then consider them to be truly "wild" animals?
  2. I figured it wouldn't take long for someone to take offense. Reality is that you are hunting over bait that you planted as others might hunt over bait that they bought in a bag. As Uncle Nicky said, its all about "keeping wildlife in the area" with the idea that it might help your hunting. If one wasn't a hunter they wouldn't be planting plots OR buying bags of corn, so what is the difference?
  3. I like the way you put that. Some guys who put out food plots can have a coronary when baiting is brought up, yet there is very little (if any) difference between the two. Now let's see how long it will take for someone to try to justify food plots by saying that they don't spread CWD like baiting does?
  4. Found inside Robhuntandfish's trap.
  5. Yes, we need more evidence. Words are cheap.
  6. That's even worse than if they were made in China. Now forum members will never get what they ordered. Osama Bin Laden's brothers are wearing these HuntingNY forum items in Pakistan as are El Chapo's drug runners in Mexico. You can kiss the stuff goodbye.
  7. He's watching reruns of "Kung Fu".
  8. That's a funky scope setup. I think you may need to inch it back a bit towards your eye. LOL
  9. The shirts and hats they sell on this site are made in China so they haven't been shipped yet and may never be. The word got out that most of the guys who will wear this stuff are Trump supporters so they are having second thoughts about sending them.
  10. "60 Minutes" will be doing a report on this scam Sunday night.
  11. Many times it's the parents who get more wrapped up in their kids sport than the kids. Win or lose most kids just want to go get a pizza, burger, etc. after a game. It's usually the parents who are in a huff if their kids team loses or the child performs poorly and not the kids. In the scheme of things it would benefit the child so much more if they put emphasis on learning over playing sports. I would even question whether kids who play sports are more fit than those that don't. Maybe my sample is somehow skewed, but I've seen so many people who didn't play sports as youngsters end up in better shape in later life than those that did play sports. Go figure that one out. Many who weren't into competitive sports took up activities like going to the gym, jogging, biking, hiking, all activities one can continue into old age, and activities that are more beneficial to ones health than any team sport will ever be.
  12. You are correct. Thanks for the reminder. See you guys on another thread.
  13. ZERO interest in college sports for me. It amazes me how many people follow it. I guess they have way more time to waste than I do. I remember kids talking about the Yankees, Mets, Giants, Jets, Knicks, Nets, Rangers, Islanders, and opposing teams in these leagues, but college sports was on no ones radar. Different generation I guess.
  14. Some people don't like venison either, but it's probably because they ate some that wasn't prepared too well. Same thing most likely applies to bear meat. For me, the biggest turn off to bear meat is seeing a skinned out bear. Damned thing looks almost human when you compare it to other skinned out animals like deer, cows, pigs, etc..
  15. Jeez, you must have attended a boring preppy elementary school if college football was the sport you talked about. I don't even turn on my TV on Saturday's during the Fall knowing that there will be a college football game on every bloody channel I turn to from morning to night.
  16. You guys are bringing back memories of arguments in my elementary school yard during lunch recess. This was in the early 70's. The boys were arguing about who was the best shortstop in NY. Bud Harrelson for the Mets or Gene Michael for the Yankees. Truth was they both sucked. Bud's career batting average was .236 and Gene's was .229. Gene had the power, though. He hit 15 home runs in a 10 year career, while Bud hit 7 in a 16 year career. LOL
  17. I've never made any predictions like you, Biz. I won't be betting a cent that the Yankees will win it all. I have seen plenty of teams have great years and then butcher it in the playoffs, especially in recent years with these extra playoff rounds. I won't lose a wink of sleep either way. None of this is very important in the scheme of things, that's why I laugh when guys talk about and argue this stuff day in and day out. You think the players get all upset about disappointing fans when they lose? Yeah, right.
  18. Oh, I used to watch plenty of games long before you were born, Biz. I came to my senses, however, and have more productive things I can do with my time these days instead of watching 4 hour baseball games each night. I don't have to watch 100 plus games to know that you like to throw it everyone's face when your team is winning and then make excuses when they aren't. Just giving you a taste of your own medicine, that's all. It don't taste too good, does it? Yuk, castor oil. LOL
  19. LOL. I don't know about you guys, but I think I'll be sending this to Biz for the baby shower.
  20. If I called you fat, I'd have to call both Jerkman(n)'s jerks!
  21. It may not be Don C's property, but he has the rights to it. Something that the clown idiot doesn't have. Technically he has no right to even step on it.
  22. I've got to say, I find this the most interesting thread on this forum in quite a while. I do hope you keep us posted on what materializes from all this. I know there wouldn't be a chance in the world I'd ever want to have a beer with this clown after approaching you like that and saying that type of crap he said. Just stepping out in front of you, on YOUR property holding a gun in such a fashion alone is a threat in my opinion. As if he was protecting something that is his. That is BS right there. I don't look for trouble or like trouble, but I would not let this guy get away with this.
  23. Don C?? You should have told that idiot that your name was Don Corleone and maybe he'd think twice about trespassing. LOL
  24. What he said above. Doctor wouldn't need to tell me anything. Two concussions at age 11 he'd be retiring from football.
  25. He's on the same weight loss program as Wildcat Junkie so he needs a few big rocks as a counter balance for his scale!
