^^^^yep. The Field & Stream Deluxe XL Ladder Stands are nice. I have one and its solid as a rock and has a good size platform with a flip up seat. The only drawback with it is that its heavy, but once its set up its great!

SU couldn't hit water if they fell out of a boat! This years team was the worst shooting team I've ever seen them have. I remember the good ol days when they would score 75-80 points per game. This year they were lucky if they got to 55!

To each his own. If the OP wants to get a new bow, who am I to tell him not to? My hunting bow is 8 years old too. I just ordered a new one a couple weeks ago. Its the first bow I've ever shot that I liked more than the one I have now, but I'm still keeping my trusty ol' Switchback XT!

You are really making yourself look stupid! Maybe you should quit while you're ahead. For starters, calling someone out for improper grammar and then spelling Mathews wrong just makes you look ignorant. Notice one "T" in Mathews. If you've been shooting one so long, you should know how to spell it. Secondly, Myself and Bowtoons have both owned several Mathews bows. I still have the Switchback XT. We're far from Mathews haters but I just haven't liked any of their bows since the Z7. The reason they are so popular is they are a marketing machine and most guys just want the newest Mathews because that's what the guys on TV shoot. We were trying to make sure the OP don't fall into that trap and shoots all the offerings he can.

Your best bet would be to tag along with someone who hunts. Do you know anyone who hunts? If not, this could be pretty tough as most hunters don't want to show their spots to strangers. Maybe you could find a hunting club to join if you don't know anyone who hunts and is willing to show you the basics.

Exactly....you'll know which bow is for you when you shoot it. Kinda fits you like a cozy pair of slippers. I like to say don't choose a bow, let the bow choose you. There are some factors to keep in mind though when looking at some of these bows and that's what myself and others in this thread are trying to make you aware of. Just keep it in mind when you check them out.

The Chill is not a Solo Cam bow. Maybe you should do some research before you make yourself look ignorant. And I wouldn't trust the guy at the Archery Shop any more than the kid at Dicks.

I shot it a few weeks ago. It is a nice shooting bow, much better than the Creed, but that cam system sucks. And if you ever wanted/needed new strings for it they come in about 5 pieces and cost $200. Like others have said, shoot all the different bows you can. I've been a Mathews man for the last 10 years but ended up buying a Hoyt this year. Watch out for those Elites......bad cam lean. I know someone who's had to send 6 of the ones he's tuned back to Elite because of this.
