I hate it when that happens!

I'm sure he'll be long gone by season! If it is the same buck, he just did a few night time drive by's through my area last fall...

Was hoping if it was the same buck he would have sprouted more points and added more inches than he did. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Had a buck around last fall that had some unique curled brow tines. I got a pic of a nice buck last week and as soon as I saw his brows, it reminded me of the buck from last fall. Sure looks like it could be the same buck? If not the same buck, the same genetics anyways.

I use powdered Sevin for ground nesting yellow jackets as well and it works great! Wipes them out within 1-2 days!

CCI 209M Shotshell Primers in Rochester Area?
Cabin Fever replied to Cabin Fever's topic in Muzzleloaders
Just PM'd you. Much appreciated!! Tired about stressing over getting my hands on some before season. Some gun shops have laughed and said that they haven't had any 209 primers in for over a year now. -

Thanks Brad. I appreciate the offer. I hate to take from anyone's stock pile, as I know how hard they are to come by. -
CCI 209M Shotshell Primers in Rochester Area?
Cabin Fever replied to Cabin Fever's topic in Muzzleloaders
Wow. I've been asking at Runnings in Canandaigua and they said they don't even remember the last time they got any 209 primers in. -
Having a hell of a time finding CCI 209M Primers. Has anyone found them in the Rochester area? I considered buying them online, but the couple of places that I checked it's like $30 to ship them.

I've seen the Code Blue Pre-Orbital Gland Scent before, but was always hesitant to use it on my mock scrapes. I was bored (and a little buzzed ) one night, so I thought I'd do a little shopping. I thought it might be interesting to test it out during the off season. I put it on one over hanging branch over a mock scrape that I started last fall, on a tree in one spot and on a random grape vine over a trail in another. Since then, about 90% of the bucks and ~75% of the does that pass stop by to smell it. Not sure if it helped draw them in or if they would have passed by anyways. None seemed alarmed at all. It passed my test and I'll probably start using it on my mock scrapes this fall. Anyone else used the stuff?

I see a group of 4 hens frequently behind the house that have no poults. Last year there was a group of 6 hens all summer in my yard, but no poults. I don't know what the problem is. I put a spankin' on the coon, opossum, and fox population last season hoping that would help, but it certainly doesn't look like it... I'm stumped.

What a shame... Beautiful buck.

First cook, so I kept it simple... Have some bugs to work through to make things go smoother, but overall things went well and the grub was delicious. Any particular brand of paper towels that doesn't leave lint all over while cleaning the griddle surface? Or is lint just considered flavor for the next cook?
