    Don't know what it is about it, but I find jerky made with ground meat disgusting! Can't be just a texture thing, because I love sticks and bologna made with ground meat. I've always made jerky with sliced meat.

    I'm in the same boat Steve. Been out 8 times in 8F since gun opened, but have only seen 1 fawn. Pathetic! In addition, this is coming off of my worst bow season ever, where I went out 59 times and saw squat...

    It made my day to see that Samantha got a buck yesterday! Following their deer and turkey hunting stories for the past couple of years, sure reminded me of taking my daughter out hunting. I could relate to their disappointment with all of their time and preparation, without scoring too. On the other hand, I'll never forget the feeling of pride seeing your kid getting their first deer either. Great bonding time!
