  1. Maybe, but I doubt it. I have a couple of Sigs, they are readily available. My guess is that Colt will certainly do the same with this as they did with the KC Target, very limited release and no one was able to order me one. I ended up making the purchase at GunBroker and believe I paid the MSRP. Some auctions were up to 50% higher than the MSRP at times. On Tuesday I ordered a Browning BLR from H&H in Lackawanna, I'm picking it up on Monday and will certainly inquire about ordering the Python, but I already know what she will tell me.
  2. For those interested in Erie County timelines and restrictions this is a good thread to filter though. https://nyfirearms.com/forums/pistol-permits/48936-erie-permit-timelines-69.html
  3. Oh that sucks! There was literally no one there when I went. The deputy was a jerk, didn't say a word to me, input the info the clerk gave him, pointed and waved for me to stand up to get my photo taken and printed the card. I said thanks and Merry Christmas to him and he didn't even look at me.
  4. So Erie county permit office just told me many get unrestricted but a lot of people still have target/hunting or personal protection permits. Once you have the target/hunting you can ask to have the restrictions removed after 6 months or so and most of the time it is granted, unless there are issues with background... 5. From what I understand and my own experiences, most in Erie county get unrestricted now, I’m at the pistol permit office removing a gun right now... I’ll ask. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Unrestricted. I don’t believe they are giving restricted permits very often anymore. ...Erie county that is... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. The King Cobra was available at MSRP and higher when I purchased mine a few months ago. Colt did a limited release, they were difficult to find. I'm sure they will do the same with the Python.
  8. Yes, that is correct. They don't even want references anymore. Just your info, show your NYS permit and they printed one for me right then and there.
  9. I got my PA permit in Erie 2 weeks ago, I walked out WITH IT in less than 10 minutes. They printed the card right then and there. $20.
  10. Earlier this year I picked up the King Cobra, it is a beautiful revolver and very accurate. The Python will definitely be in my safe when available.
  11. Sold, please lock it up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I also went with the Magnus Ser razors this year. They fly great, hit right with field points out to 60 yards. I shot a doe at 5 yards, she made it about 30 and dropped. I think I'm sticking with the Magnus this year as well.
  13. This is one sweet Sig! This was an impulse purchase earlier this year and I simply don’t need it. Exactly 50 rounds through it. Included are two holsters as well, StealthGear Mini Ventcore IWB and a Vedder Pro Draw OWB. I want $675. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I'm going out for squirrels next week, I would love to find somewhere to do some rabbit hunting in WNY.
  15. Opposite end of the spectrum... I also had an opportunity to shoot a really large buck in October that had a tiny rack. I couldn't figure it out as he walked by me at 22 yards I was drawn on him, but couldn't let the arrow fly. He was fat and swollen, his body was long, he was an older deer. His rack was about 8-9" wide and shaped like a full rack, with a few short points, but really really tiny. I let him walk...mostly out of confusion!
  16. You can believe that based on an online article, but I saw one multiple times this year. He was also with a very tiny doe/sister. He was a fawn, not a 1 1/2 year old deer, there was no mistaking it as an older deer. Rare and odd? Probably. Impossible? I say no.
  17. Thank you. I can't imagine actually going out there in a kayak on anything but the calmest and warmest of days, but I was just curious if it was legal.
  18. OK, I have a question about duck hunting. I drive down RT 5 along Lake Erie every day, there are ducks on the water, right where we kayak in the summer. Yesterday I though, I wonder if I could take a kayak out there and shoot a few? Is it legal to shoot ducks from a kayak on Lake Erie? This may be a ridiculous question, if it is I apologize, I know nothing about duck hunting.
  19. I had a spike fawn under my stand a few times during bow season this year. He was tiny and his spikes were literally as thick as pencils, but probably 6 inches long. I have never seen anything like it before.
  20. I have been leasing different properties for years. Currently, one of our properties is leased through a large lumber company, directly. It is by far the best arrangement I have had to date. In the past I have leased private properties from individuals. They never seem to work out. My advice would be to be very specific in what you are willing to offer to the leasee so there is no confusion down the road. Don't assume things are fine because you guys "talked about it up front". As an example, once we had the property owner's sister and boy friend show up opening day to hunt. Of course we weren't OK with that, but it caused a big problem with the family when they were told to leave, and the family always wins in the end. Do your research on liability as well. I am fairly certain in NY, if you accept payment for hunting rights, you are liable for personal injury. A policy is included with our current lease. I'm no lawyer, but I would advise looking into this.
  21. I text my sons and my wife. If it's a big boy then everyone in my contacts list that has any interest in hunting.
  22. The deer don't care and I have to say that's the BEST camo'd in box blind I have ever seen! Nice job and good luck!
  23. Well I don’t think anyone is getting screwed, only posted it in case someone here was planning on heading to Cabelas to purchase that particular gun. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I did and the guy said “Good luck” I did not try to get the bs sale price from my lgs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
